I went ahead and bought Suite 10, figuring it would be an overall smoother experience with less crashes before I had started heavily working in Ableton daily.

I realize after the fact that alot of the tools I'm interested in experimenting with are actually 3rd party Ableton Racks & Packs so I cannot download them and try while using the legit version as they won't authorize.

I'm now considering just installing the latest K'd version over my legit version.

What is the benefit of using the legit version other than supporting the developer of course?

Has anyone done the same thing and has any comments?

That's my point. I've already bought the legit version.

Thinking about switching back so I can freely try third party packs.

If you find it pivotal for your production they deserve to be paid exactly like Ableton, if not with more support.
I always prefer to start to support small devs than the big companies if I cannot afford everything at once.

I agree. I enjoy buying the stuff I use which is why I bought the DAW. And gladly get the packs that I use as well. I just didnt realize that I wouldn't be able to try the packs, which is why after buying ableton, Im now considering going back.
