Like I said - some encryption is too advanced for "The cracking Teams" - (but obviously not impossible for the people who created the encryption).

Vertigo Sound may have similar protection to Cubase (just without the dongle) - I even heard that some encryption is now being created by Artificial Intelligence:

I heard that Vertigo Sound put a lot of R&D into their protection scheme - which is why their easily available plugins have not, and probably won't be cracked.

If you read between the lines of certain comments made on the other place by people who are apparently "in the know" they have implied that perhaps there is a possibility that, just because a release is not out in the open it does not follow that a protection has not been defeated, and that in that case the teams might have decided to keep it internal and haven't released it to the public for various reasons, in which case it means that there is also a chance that the public will never get to see them.

but yes every scheme can be defeated but not every scheme will be defeated cause its needs ultra huge amount on hours do get it defeated

thats old news..even no names, they all have their own internal cracks but if they up it it get defeated and no further updates
vr did have internal/locked cubase on their site but i say it was never really defeated and just advertising..but others ...

Not so. Several hardware dongles have been defeated with padding oracle attacks and chosen-ciphertext attacks.

 

Not from my point of view. As stated back in the day from the "waterboys", it took 'em a gazillion hours to reverse cub5 and they specifically quoted they were never going to do this again. This is going to be the case always mate, its companies coding encryption etc. for a living with enough manpower for their projects, against a bunch of crackers who reverse for fun/no profit and they are just a few peeps who also have normal lives to live. Meaning its not a matter of unbreakable code, but a matter of precious time which as you possibly understand is never enough mate.
Surely encryption algos etc. have evolved but nothing is unbreakable. Given enough time and manpower, everything is possible. Even VR, whom those of us older peeps i'm sure we never took seriously in the beginning, has evolved. Look at the try on Cub.Artist. Not perfect but still it is a step forward. And may i remind you the "one hit wonder" Audioutopia 3 years ago ?

I agree with you 100%. If everyone were to think contrary to what you have wisely stated, neither AudioZ or AudioSex would exist. Everyone would be buying software or using freebies. There would be no W4r3z. No try it before you buy it. The key is perseverance. Einstein said it best:

so.. why not create a Menu in Audioz for "Retail" versions and with other things people can share with the R2R encryption methond ? only they can decrypted the message...
