Hm, some time ago there were tutorials on the sister site from this guy - it was basically some dude that was only talking very basic stuff.
There are definitely better resources (even for free like Garritan orchestration course, Alan Belkin's youtube courses on orchestration, harmony, counterpoint etc).
Anyway, this modern "epic" orchestration can be achieved easily even by a monkey - just stack some brass and choir patches from any Kontakt library and you are 95 % there.

 

maybe they are "better" for you. personaly i've never seen thier names before and have no experience with them so i cant say.
but this isnt about "best teacher", since we are all different and some people like 1 way of learning verses another person another way.

But - what its really about is foster just comes in here and shits on everyone like he always does and offer NOTHNING inreturn. he tries just sucks whatever out of everything.

 

any chances for too poor people to get this stuff for free?

 

I'm just saying that YT or any other modern media aren't great sources of knowledge for effective learning. If they were, now music was at its peak while incontrovertible concrete evidences and documentations say another thing.

If you're just starting with orchestral music, I can help you with stuff I know, because not knowing English well and books that I was reading, won't do well for you.
I read Stefan Kotska, Adler or something like that were the names, while I learned some things, simply, ideas and modern scoring does not meet anything in these books.
And they are mostly about examples, different rules in different periods of time.
Different rules for different composers.
And so on...


If you ask me, you just need to train your ear to know when some note does not fit on its place and listen orchestral tracks much.
I know people that are theory wizards, but can't make music at all.

And this is how you will develop ideas for your melodies and for chords (triads) its not that hard, there should be always notes from melody too, and you will again hear if your chord is good or off in tone, for this we have scale helpers in modern daws, otherwise we would need to memorise scales, or memorise one and later change a key (this works too).

Once you know to do this, you will be on my palce, place where I can not hear all the stuff that is going on in a track, and things like ostinato movements, accents etc.

And also, you will lose time if you will go and download different libraries, OT, Spitfire, 8Dio...there is only 1 good library for orchestral music I realized after downloading and trying 100 of them.
Mostly they are useless trash.

Find a way to get the scores from The Planets (Host), Carmina Burana (Orff) and Conan The Barbarian (Basil Poledouris) and study these orchestrations! You will be in good company!

 

which is ? and i am not going to read books thanks to you. but i would like to learn. and also i see lots of tutorials like daniel james , alex moukala etc. but they don't teach which we both are looking for.
