It's a take on the iconic Blade Runner opening sounds, which were played on a Yamaha CS80. Look for brass presets, or presets named chariot in your synth.

If you want to do it properly from scratch, this video explains it well:

    If you go here:
    Code:
    http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2010/02/21/the-iconic-sounds-of-synthesis-vangelis-blade-runner-brass-sound/
You can find 15 attempts at recreating that sound.

Once you're done see how well your sound compares to the one created by Vangelis (you can hear it from around 1:30):

The CS80 also had a ribbon controller which could be used for further modulation, that's how you get those melting falling sounds.

Spot on. All that is left is downward pitchbending at the end to add that tension/eerie feeling.

But wait! There's more! You need a decent pair of vintage Tannoys.

Dedicated cones for high, low and mid range (750W)? Each range powered by a dedicated 750W BGW amp. 6 x 750 Watt, now we're talking.

He had them hanging from the ceiling, of course.
