beware I tried out the new pirated version of Antares - Auto-tune Pro v9.1 and it was infected by a nasty virus taking control over Windows Defender. Had to go back to an older restore point. Still not sure if I'm 100% virus/maleware free

It was until it was removed. By the way my Defender offline is not working but unsure if this is related to this maleware since I have not used that function in a long time. Quick scan and full scan is working after the system restore. Maybe I do a full image restore but I will test out my system a couple of days

I uploaded all executables to www.virustotal.com and no virus was found in none of the files. So, my question...Is this the release you meant when opening this thread?

Why i talk about money ?

Well, it's easy to see there is a real RACE, to mirror stuff and make more cash: i've seen releases with 20+ guys posting mirrors...when the main releaser/poster gets his links deleted, there isn't one single guy with a working link...BECAUSE, instead of downloading and uploading files, in order to have a different link than the original poster, EVERYBODY copies and mirrors the links from the original OP...as a direct consequence, when the original op gets his links deleted, the 20+ guys who copied and pasted the same links, EVERYBODY gets their links deleted as well ! 20+ mirror guys, and no way to find a working link!

What a shame, really. I understand people might do it, if it's a 90Gb kontakt library, but when it's a 10mb file, is it too hard to dl and upload their own shit ?

i had this. i can say the thing never worked for me damn it i cursed my self and the windows 7. I'm talking about this stuff this is from a youtube video and it should be probably 6 or 9 months old. I've to check again. but I'm sure i had this release. i was so excited but then it never worked. and then i got waves 2018.10 version. I'm still happy with waves. though I'm not a rapper anymore because no mic and no money. but besides i use less plugins day by day and try to work with less stuff. because i think less is more. and yeah this is probably virus infected for sure. thanks for letting this fellow brothers know

 

Yes, that was the one. It had a nasty thing in it. It was uploaded to rutracker today. Also was on the sister site for some minutes

 

The archive I downloaded today was uploaded to mediafire in april 2019. Maybe some idiots added a virus to it and rereleased it on rutracker.

Maybe you can send me the rutracker link per PM so I can make checksum check if they are both the same!

Why don't you have fun installing viruses in a virtual machine OS, instead of your main OS?

 

I noticed it had popped up and disappeared. It's also popped up on RUTracker. Not downloaded though as not sure if same release or not?!?!

I didnt downloaded it from sister site and havent tried it yet if it works...First I want to do some security checks!

 

OK....I now finished the CRC32 Checksum between the rutracker version and the version I've downloaded from mediafire.
All files exept "Auto-Tune Pro V9.1 [NO ILOK ACTIVATOR].exe" have the same checksum. So it seems the rutracker version is different from the version I've downloaded, even if the folder structure is the same and the info.txt has a few differencies.

Now I'm a little bit nervous...should I try it with my version, or should I dont do it?
