Modern analog synths don't have these tuning problems like old ones. The SE-02 is constantly and automatically tuning. My Minilogue XD is automatically tuning when I power it on.They are both not very old so I don't know if it will be less precise in the future but I haven't any problem of tuning.I have a Elektron Analog Four MKII since 2 years and it doesn't have problems of tuning at this time.

No,the SE-02 is well constructed, its face is metallic and the knobs are not loose but as I said above in my comment I have it since 2 or 3 months.
Its main drawback is that it's too small and it's hard to turn some knobs like "oscillator range" or "oscillator waveform".And since the knobs are very small it's not easy to be precise, like for fine tuning the oscillators. If you want to get two perfectly fine tuned oscillators you must adjust the "fine tune" knob from the DAW,otherwise you can't from the synth.
For making badass square detuned filtered basses this synth is orgasmic!:excl:

Maybe you dont notice it or your synths have some magic mojo in them.. My Microbrute, and every VCO in my modular need to sit for about 30 minutes before the tuning in them stabilizes and I can use them alongside digital synths with perfect pitch. Its nowhere near as bad as my Juno or SH-101 but, thats why they still put tuning knobs on them.

All I can say is that there are a couple of dinosaurs in this thread :), "Magic Mojos" and "Oscillators are controlled by electricity and voltages, using mainly (if not mostly exclusively) mainstream components not specifically designed for synths that need to be “worn in” often, meaning they normally work optimally when heated up by the electricity running through them and in their operating window.".. to name but a few quotes. Electronics has progressed over the last thirty years, several synths now have built in stabilization for the oscillators, eradicating the need for a 15 minute fag break, whilst waiting for the synths to warm up. Mainstream components.......... Lol
If I didn't know that synthesis is basically manipulating wave-forms, I wouldn't be looking for a synth, be it analog or Digital.
The quality of the internal electronics, will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, During the sixties in the UK our electronics were graded into A and B quality, the A grades were sold abroad, the B grades were used in British sold electronics. If radios or TVs (both of which contain oscillators) had to "warm up" for 15 or so minutes, like they did in the 1950's, then the world would be in a sorry state. Technology has advanced, oscillators can be made to be reliable from switch on..........That is unless the imperfections give the synth that character in the sound, and that may be what certain people want:guru:

My response to this is go and ask EVERY analog synth maker to remove their tuning knobs cos clearly technology and components now means they are in tune from the off with zero issues and they are so confident in their tuning that surely they no longer need tuning knobs.....good luck with that is all I can say!

I must just be imagining it then when none of my analog VCOs will play the correct pitch until they've had time to warm up and stabilize..
I guess Arturia just wanted to put the tuning knob on the back of the Micro and the Minibrute to get a couple extra bucks out of people.. Yeah components NEVER drift in this day and age with all our fancy futuristic methods of making the same 50+ year old technology the same way its always been! Must be that global warming affecting the components nowadays.

The 'tuning' features dont work from the minute power is applied. It still needs to wait for the fluctuating voltage to stabilize so it can calibrate and correct pitch properly..

What's the point of this?In the case you have to wait 15 minutes it's actually not annoying.Power on your devices and your DAW,drink a coffee and you've spent 15 minutes.

It looks and sounds very much like the original. Best thing about it, Its price. For $495 you are getting a beast. Think about it, we have mickey mouse plugins costing almost as much as this synth. Go to http://www.arpsynth.com/en/experience/sounds/2015/06/music/
Another thing this clone has in it s favor:
