Hi fellow wallpaper makers: Remember, margins & graphics placement is the real key. Newer versions of Kontakt have restricted the display mainly to the left-side within their tabs. Please keep that in mind gentlemen. Many thanks for your contributions.

You need the INNXK extension
Copy on subfolder \plugins\wcx
When open app go to Preferences-Configuration-Plugins
On Packer Plugins section (WCX) go to Configure
In the top right window type NICNT then New Type and look for innkx.wcx file previously copied. Files associated
Right side mouse- Open with- Total commander. Go to Resources\.LibBrowser.png. Can open and extract.
That´s all. You can do with nkc nkr and nkx too.

 

Some of your wallpapers are really nice - looking forward to seeing more. Just letting you know and I'm not sure if most feel the same way, but I only use them if the maker of the library's name or logo is included somewhere... Cheers

I was just looking around on here for an 8Dio Lacrimosa wallpaper, and while I found several (and all of them looked great!), all of them had unusual issues when I loaded them up in my Kontakt. Too long, too wide, logo too dark, etc. So I took the elements from most of them that worked for me and used them to make a simple Franken-wallpaper of my own. In the spirit of giving back to the community, here's my take, which may or may not be useful to somebody:

Hi Iggy: I'm curious. Who were the makers of the wallpapers that you are referring? I know that I created a wallpaper for that library way back on page 63. A long time ago. I noticed that the dimensions of your recent creation are 633 x 98 (those are the same dimensions as mine). <lol> Since I made that one, I have made some adjustments. (Keeping in mind, the display restrictions of Kontakt's later versions).

The one you posted on pg. 63 (same one on your site) would have been perfect, except that about half of it would have been chopped off in my Kontakt GUI. I resorted to Frankenstein-ing pieces from the posted wallpapers that were easiest to cut, paste and clone together for the simplest results (and your page 63 wallpaper had too many details going on across the board that would made chopping it up to fit with my highly-questionable Photoshop skills a nightmare).

Ergo, I took the easily-editable background from a Lacrimosa wallpaper posted by @Cashmeere on pg. 177 (way too long, logo too dark for the background in question) and the logo itself from a Lacrimosa wallpaper from @Mynock on pg. 200 (again, too long for my Kontakt library tab GUI, but the logo was nice and bright for suck a dark background). Can't remember where I took the 8Dio logo from, but I wanted to keep it simple -- between fitting into a tight space and not being handy enough with graphics to make it look good when it gets that small, I went with the maximum I could handle. In my Kontakt Library tab, there's just a tiny amount of space after the "S" in "8Dio Productions" in the wallpaper I made ... and that's with my GUI stretched all the way out. A lot of people seem to have no problem with the logos spread across the entire wallpaper, so it may just be the screen resolution (1440 x 900) or size (15.4") on my clunky 2011 MBP that prevents Kontakt from spreading it out any wider.

The re-worked version you just posted above IS perfect (and it has now replaced the one I just posted in my Kontakt Library GUI)! Thank you so much for this! Was that posted elsewhere on here and I just didn't see it?

On the few occasions I end up having to make my own Kontakt wallpapers (I try not to get greedy with requests!), I always go by your template.

I read your entire post. I completely understand. The later versions of Kontakt's wallpaper layout (along with its options and restrictions) has changed the way wallpapers are made, for sure. Current and future wallpaper makers must grapple with that fact. However, remember the only reason why this sight was set up in the first place, is to fill wallpaper requests for its members. So, never feel that you're being "greedy" when asking for one, or a dozen wallpaper(s). All will be provided (as time and circumstances allow). Stay cool.
