Of course, I agree. I am quite interested in what exactly you did. because there is definitely more or less energy in these frequency ranges compared to A.

There's an LP in B which added a tiny bit of high freqs (without asking), but that's the least difference.

I meant LP - linear phase ... just because you talked about functions. Otherwise, I would not know what function an eq could have that could be "overlooked".

No linear phase, it's an analogue emu.

It's not only the function but it special consequences in this case.

This is not a reason why the estimated solution shouldn't work. :dunno:

You give maybe a smooth boost/saturation just by injecting in parallel the color of an analog eq like Api or other but without touching the levels of the bands. Only the analog coloration ?

well they sound a little different, neither sounds great, just another unnecessarily overly processed loop, and in the context of a fully mastered mix the difference wouldn't matter much at all. One day I hope people realize that processing for the sake of processing doesn't make the sound better, most canned drums are processed enough and usually only need very minor tweaking and relative volume adjustments to work in a mix.

Say again?? Eq matching RULES!! ... (and especially it's easy...)

Okay, definitely an analog-mojo-satucolouration-warmer-8D plugin... no damn idea which one though

No fair, you can't really die, I can!!

Oh, another snobby-wannabe-producer talking down others without reason but perhaps envy... not talking about you, of course.
Talking about you and another one, that is.

Just two of whatever eq you used, gain staging to push the second to "overdrive" the signal.

    Just had an idea :invision:
Maybe it's "polarity + impedance switch"? Sometimes they don't do what I expect and overtones are shifted...
