    1) 64-bit VST2/VST3 will NOT work on a 32-bit OS. Jbridge will not be of any help in this scenario
    2) You can use Jbridge if your OS is 64-bit but your DAW is 32-bit
    3) You can use Jbridge if your OS/DAW are both 64-bit and you want to use 32-bit VST2 plugins (not VST3)
    4) Jbridge only deals with VST2. Not VST3. So 32-bit VST3 won't run in a 64-bit DAW (unless the DAW supports it directly)

Run msinfo.exe if you don't know whether your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit

Or open a command prompt and type
    echo %PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE% and hit <Enter>
    AMD64 is 64-bit (doh!)
    x86 is 32-bit (doh! again)

Itanium processor?? Who cares anyway

    Cheers

@PlzNo and @evolasme both of you are confusing a 32-bit HOST, which can be a DAW, with a 32 Bit operating system. You can use Jbridge in order to have your 64 bit plugin working inside a 32 bit HOST which is operating in a 64 bit operating system. However, a 64-bit plugin or DAW needs a 64-bit operating system. Jbridge can't do that. The OP already explained that the operating system is a Widows 7 with a 32-bit architecture. On computers with a 32-bit operating system it is only possible to use a 32-bit DAW or plugin. :guru:

It does it the other way around too as long as the operating system is a 64-bit one.

    64-bit plugins and DAW
On reply #5 the OP issue was answered. I just don't know what is the purpose of continuing with this debate. Anyone that says that you use can by a 64-bit plugin, by way of Jbridge, in a 32-bit Windows 7 is totally wrong. Period. Please, stop confusing a HOST with an operating system. Stop confusing members with wrong information.

32-bit Operating System = 32-bit plugins and DAWS (host)
    64-bit Operating System = 64-bit plugins and DAWS(host) + 32-bit plugins and DAWS(host)

Once again, you can lead a horse to the water but can't make it drink.

If you're running a 32-bit operating system, it's either to 1. keep some old hardware running or 2. just because you have upgraded from Windows XP to 7, thought 64-bit is a gimmick and kept it that way. There's absolutely no reason to cripple new hardware with 32-bit operating systems, so I suspect you're using older hardware and therefore can only run a 32-bit OS. In that case your hardware is so old you probably shouldn't bother tinkering around with half-assed wrappers only to discover the performance is disappointing. You're guaranteed to see long load times and huge CPU usage if you get your plugins working at all. Not worth it tbh. Posting the specifications of your machine and the plugin you want to run would help us give you proper advice though.
