I always wanted to compose music for a movie or a trailer, but I know it's not possible, so I created such a short song using only built-in instruments.

Of course it's possible. Like most things, it's achievable, but what stops most people is that it's harder to "make a living" (insert zombie joke here) at. Hundreds of movies are made every year, and most people only ever hear of a few dozen of them. It's actually really hard for independent movie makers to find people they can count on to help get it made.

Why don't you choose first a short film or animation, putting up a score against the action to build up your creative and organisational chops, and then take on something longer as you build up muscle?

Put some catchy melodies and nudity inside your music and everyone would care. This is what the public have wanted all the time. Probably big composers have chosen the wrong directions for their careers from the outset.
