So Ive been experiencing issues with this since its release, this wasnt happening with the previous release, so its definitely not being caused by plugins.

I'll crash doing : Sometimes Saving, Opening the File and at Random. Is anyone experiencing this with this release? Im on Mac Mojave 10.14.5

 

yes, when I'm using Kontakt 6 and Ableton packs in a project it crashes on start up. Something is not quite right. I'm on Windows 10 by the way. So are you using Ableton packs?

I tend to run into issues with crashing on Ableton Live and Windows 10. I could never narrow it down as to what causes it. My midi keyboard "M-audio Axiom Pro 49" also causes some "Non responding" issues at times. I can use my maschine as midi device and not get that same issue.

However on my Mac running High Sierra I have zero issues with Ableton Live 10. I can use that same midi keyboard and never get any problems. I wonder if it's an Asio driver issue and LIVE just likes core audio better.

 

Also another issue I have is when my bluetooth Korg midi keyboard is connected it takes forever to change buffer size. When I turn it off in preferences the buffer size change very fast
I'm pretty sure the crashes on opening project when using Kontakt and Ableton packs is a Ableton 10.1 issue. I have tried different versions of Windows and reinstall Kontakt with same result. When I take out the Kontakt plugin from the plugins folder the project opens again. When I use Kontakt.dll without using Ableton packs I have no issues. So it's not Kontakt, kontakt is only the trigger not the issue (that being said Ableton can start behaving strange when using more than 2 kontakt.dll's) . When I use Ableton packs without using Kontakt I get very high memory use but I don't get crashes when opening projects. Strange issue. Could be that something is not quite right with the Ableton Live 10.1 - R2R. I gonna limit my use of Ableton packs until next release.

I had few crashes with Windows 8.1 when using Novation Launch Control with Focusrtie 6i6 and using Ableton for Djing. After these few crashes everything works stable now.

 

sorry to hear about your problem ;(
since last version, i dont experience the issue with project files getting "corrupt" and crashes Live when trying to open said project.

did you try workaround?
dragging the project file from the browser on the left into a empty project?
