Hi, I have kontakt 5.6.0 and kontakt 6.1.1.
I recently downloaded a cracked version of Orchestral Tools Berlin Brass v1.1, but there are only
.nkx and .nkc files in it (i.e. no .nki files as I'm used to see).
And none of my players (hosted in logic pro X) can read those.

I added a library, by creating a fake .nicnt file, and I was able to add the library, but unfortunately when
I try to unfold the library instruments, it's all blank (as if the folder was empty).

So what am I supposed to do? Should I trash this library, or is there a way to use those files?

I read about a capsule engine used by berlin orchestral tools, I have a CAPSULE.nkc file in the library folder,
but don't know what to do with it either.

Does anybody know how to solve this?

there is no cracked version of a library. There are converted patches to let you open an .nki without requiring registration as a Kontakt library. But this must be not the case.
There must be an Instruments folder and inside it perhaps other subfolders where at the end you find the .nki files that are instrument patches.
It doesn't matter if you register the library with an .nicnt if there is no .nki files inside Instruments folder.

 

I guess this is a useless bunch of files then because there is no .nki.
I remember that when I unrared it there was 2 errors, so that's probably it: the files I downloaded were either damaged or incomplete.
Anyway, thanks for the insight.

 

if you don't have the complete library, it means that getting the .nki files wouldn't solve the whole issue.
