I found many cover songs were made with FL Studio while I was researching on Youtube. Is there any specific reason? Probably the piano roll is the best to put the note on it?

The piano roll is probably the biggest reason. Second would be it's simplistic UI and ease of use. I know FL Studio like the back of my hand, and decided to download Ableton 10 the other day. I couldn't figure much out without watching tutorials. FL is hands down the easiest DAW to get into IMO. Ableton surpasses FL in audio manipulation, but when talking about re-creating songs, FL takes the cake.

They wanna promote Cubase and Protools and LogicPro and Reaper workflow, it is called anti-advertising , they pay specific individuals to become famous with youtube channnel's and promote and post in any and every forum stuff about their daw

wherever their is a mean's for a man to make $$ someone will have already found it , whether its phishing, whether stealing from you in broadlight with an AR or a concealed hand pistol ,

FruityLoops was for like for ever laughed upon , luckily many bros and sisters mastered it and wrote masterpieces , one of the best music maker's out there , pianoroll yes a guy or girl clicking upon keys searching thru this amazing world of music and infinite beauty might discover the next top10 melody , deadmau avicii these guys are my bros , anyone with his super promotion and circles can go fuck - you are nobodies in front of us

well i am using fl studio as main daw. and also using Ableton when i want to do experiment and stuff. the best part about fl is the piano roll and the shortcuts. in Ableton i have trouble with the freaking zoom. you have to use control (ctrl) button most or all the times. and fl is letting you use your mouse wheel that's easiest for me. you can call me noob for that but it doesn't matter to me. and also the piano roll of fl studio is the best. obviously I've seen what Daniel James can do with cubase with multi midi editing. but that's not my concern at the moment. because it's a midi skill. Ableton has tons of hidden stuff. but the automation is best. fl is letting you use it % wise. like i want to cut off 10hz. then it let's me do 0-100% which i don't want. Ableton is the best in that. you can clearly see what hz is being automated.

Name one masterpiece produced in Fl, I think you may have lowered the bar for what constitutes a masterpiece quite considerably

for me Ableton is more of live editing or throwing ideas at the moment stuff. while fl is not even hardware supportive. i give u example. i bought novation launchkey mini mk2 it was not even lighting when using fl studio and i had to ask tech support and also they told me you can only do it using Ableton. (luckily i got free key for lifetime for a free daw) (then i returned the keyboard because i was not ableton power user and also i couldn't afford the keyboard in first place) got my money back and also i got to keep the Ableton Live lite free for life. now I use Ableton but still i like mixer and i prefer mixer instead of channel racks. i still don't know most of the Ableton stuff and i still love it because it's easy on my cpu. fl lags a bit while Ableton doesn't. so fl is best in some aspects and Ableton has the best of almost everything if I'm not wrong. it's just that piano roll and my shitty old fashioned workflow is making me stick with the fl. and besides fl is a bit easy to use. when you be pro at it you might not need Ableton who knows. it's all about the workflow. you can see Alex Moukala doing stuff which people thought is impossible in FL studio. while they were thinking it's only possible with cubase or logic or pro tools. he proved them wrong. so don't underestimate anything. just try to work with what you have. let me add this small shit to the end.

i downloaded Berlin inspire & orchestral tools complete orchestra or something. but i am too noob to use it. because i don't know range of instruments and also i don't have superior music knowledge and superior gear and superior hearing. it's not even my genre and i already deleted the complete orchestra. because i saw that it's out of my range and knowledge. so I've to upgrade my skills first. so it's not that you have best and all the library in the world you might still not be able to use any shit from it. just like me. i rest my case here.

Alex Moukala you missed the guy and underestimating daw is not what's needed. it's the skill that matters. i think Burial is the best example of that.

Alex Moulaka makes very competent trailer music, pretty good, but masterpiece?, no sorry not to me. Whilst it is a perfectly good example of that genre it doesnt stand out from hundreds of other composers in that field

@Niruvana I think it all comes down to FL STUDIO's overwhelming number of users. Just to give you an example, look at some statistical data from just 1 week last year

    Image-Line.png

    It is quite impressive.

    FL Studio has FL Chan...

And still the best Piano Roll.

Is that even important, nobody cares in which DAW you produced your hit.

But i'ts right FL Studio had or still has a kinda bad image among "pro" producers, because they still only know Fruity Loops and not FL Studio. For many reasons it's the most appealing daw for most of the beginners, it's cheap, can do as much as ableton, you only pay once ect. Most younger people or beginner producers would take FL Studio as the first music program, even some kids who are more talented than you and me.

Alex Moukala might be not very outstanding, but he's a good example that you can do nearly everything (beside recording lol) with FL Studio

That was just during a one-week period. An average of 69,000 downloads per day. Even if just 1% of those downloads represents new licensed customers, we are talking almost 700 per day which amounts to 21,000 new licensed users per month. My main DAWs are Renoise and Pro Tools. I don't think that Renoise has a total of 21,000 users. Whether you love it or hate it, Image-Line has done a magnificent job at promoting its DAW. And let us not forget the "exposure" it has received and continues to receive from non-legit users.

I'm also using FL. And as many said already, it's the skill that matters, not the DAW. If you have a bit of experience you can do alot with any DAW, that's just and issue depending on you. Of course each DAW has its own limitations, cons and pros, but anyone can do pretty amazing things. Some very talented people can do amazing things with tracker daws, others can do it with FL, Ableton, or Cubase etc.
Although FL is not perfect, image line has great promotion for it over Youtube and other social media websites, appealing mostly for younger people. It is a simple DAW for beginners.
