Yes, the r2r release is the older version.

I've just tried the demo version of Nerve and it's v1.2.3. It's a really great drum machine. I wonder why it is so neglected and underrated? I remember installing R2R's version years ago, and being very pleasantly surprised. However, it was a bit too buggy for my taste at the time, and updates were never released. I'm glad someone is asking about it. @cEvin Key

 

I'd rent it in a heart beat if DUDA just put it up on splice like he does with serum, but he seems hesitant.
I'm sorry mr. Duda but I aint paying 200 dollar for a virtual drum machine, thats a fucking insane amount. Besides updates are poor, and project looks more dead then alive.

It's still just a tiny dot on the screen with no way to enlarge the GUI. I use it all the time as a placeholder/metronome type of a thing but can't really see it because it's sooo small up there in the monitor but would pay for an update in a NY minute if The Duda updated it and brought it up to 21st century spec.

Latest Mac version is 1.2
It hasn't been updated since 2015.

Does this qualify as some form of morbid curiosity since it appears to be ghost software? If you buy it, you get the newest version, access to the product specific forum, and any changelog available. If you do not buy it, you are stuck with the last shared version anyway.

Are you even considering buying it? Hopefully you aren't.

 

The reason I'm asking here is because there's no update log available online,not even on Xfer's public forum. I don't even know if it's been updated since version 1.2.3. Even the demo version is from 10 years ago.
I'm a legitimate user of all his plugins except Nerve. If it were around $100, I would buy it. But I don't want to throw $200 into the dark and find out it's a dead plugin.

 

$200 for a sampler/drum machine has always been a relatively steep price, but I think even $100 is still more than I would gamble on it getting any updates by now. If you already have his other products legally, which gives you access to the other forums; you could either ask on there or create a help ticket and he'd probably get you a copy of the changelog.

The one I think some real sales money is being left on the table with is OTT. If it was a full featured plugin of Serum2 quality, maybe even with a soft clipper/hard clipper circuit or other, and the right price for the target type of customers; many people would buy it. It would need a nice manual, for the 50%+ people who use it but don't understand what it even does.
