Yeah, I guess your ears are only half-decent if you put Avenger with StudioLinked and Superstar O junk. It's a really deep synth, not sure what you're talking about.

You dont need those extensions, creating patches with avenger is super easy. You could even Autosample a Patch from another VST and just load the samples into avenger. Be original and make your own music. That makes it much easier to create a signature sound and not just follow like a lemming other sound designers. my opinion. Last Time Avenger was 50% off which is a very nice price for what you get. Heck even Omnisphere cant load multiples !

    yes!
it has Granular, Wavetable, VA, Single- , Multisamples loading.
It offers a great potential. You drop in a sample and boom new patch. Or multisample a Patch which smokes your cpu from cpu hog synths like Roland. Or a 500 Voice drone which fries anyines CPU, and as icing a high quality reverb on it. After loading the samples into Avenger the load is reduced to 5% :)
I can only encourage you to make your own sounds , it is really fun. Go out sampling , water , fire air trashcans, you voice (or her:>) your Guitar, a flute, Hardware synths and craete Wavetables or Granular fields of passion or just a single cyle osc

  5. It's like there are two kinds of audio software users. Those who use the tools in production and make or attempt to make money from the outcome. The other kind is the I Wanna Be A Music God video game, where people download mountains of tools they barely understand and spend months, even years, of their life using prefab WAV files and presets to make eff all really while living out a dream. I don't see locking these people out gets you anywhere. It's the arseholes whole spend ten grand on converters, monitors, room treatments, slider control desks and double screen arrays but then bitch about giving some dude his hundred and fifty for his hard work.

What pisses me a bit is that legit owners now have to pay for version 2 but if they finally fix the CPU spikes i love to invest into Avenger

I wonder if people who say that an expansion is to expansive have ever created own patches and therefor know how much work it is to create multisamples and loop them all individually in Wavelab. That takes a lot of time / work!

Thats exactly the point. Because of that we get used to presets or sample packs ..

However, I do not use Avenger, I'm more into Serum

  10. I've never used it. I downloaded it but hadn't got around to installing it. I never will now. Wengeance Awenger goes into the trash can of never use this software. That's not because of it being any good or not. It's because the developer throws wobblers on his customers. Just like u-he. Just like TONE2. Never use software from a wobbler thrower. Not ever.

Imagine if ValhallaDSP or Cockos had the same aggressive stance against piracy. There's a reason they're so popular and have such loyal and happy customers.

No explanation of how. Guess just butthurt? For some reason. Mediocre synth w/ very, very samey & expensive presets doesn't sell very well, even half price? Passive-aggressively threaten customers! Throw tantrum! Good attitude. Interesting they compare it to that Nexus rompler that wasn't worth pirating, either.

Yeah that's presets are made for. Either pay for the stuff you use and save time or make it yourself and safe money :) Complaining how expensive they are wont help anyone :) At lease there is a way to make own presets.

I would either if Serum would support proper multi sample playback. Probably Steve ads it some day :)

Exactly. If you're going to buy that plugin with all the expansions, you have to pay 2669€ - for a plugin... a virtual plugin,
no DAW, no analogue Synthesizer, no nothing. And you almost need a new SSD for this as it takes something like 30GB for
    everything together.

I downloaded that thing to try, tried it and deleted it cause it needed so much space. The Dongle won't help anyone
and I bet the sales will decrease alot - even more than with the cracked equivalents in the net.

Maybe they should ask LennarDigital about a more convinient protection than the dongle.

At least they now gave a 20% discount for the everything bundle right before the customers have to pay extra for the
copy protection in the next updates, haha.

    edit:
have to say, I deleted it because I owned Serum years ago (after using it cracked before) and if you got
something very similar, you don't need the same product again, except it is better in some kind (which it isn't).

I doubt this. At least it won't happen in Serum 1.
Proper multi-sample playback platform is a coding and performance nightmare - just look Kontakt and all its competitors.
Btw, Kontakt 6 also supports wavetables - too bad that NI is too braindead to make any good use of it in creating anything interesting aside from soundtrack sounds stuff.

And Serum didn't became popular, because it's some kind of super synth. In fact, the opposite is true (same can be said about Sylenth).
Compare to some good old synths like Zebra or Absynth that were way more capable than most of the market and still remain niche.

Not everything is black or white.
Reaper is pretty unpopular, compared to stuff like Live or FL (which is probably the most popular and cracked daw these days and IL goes after people and sites that offer/use it for free), or Cubase. Valhalla has to sell like 3 + reverbs to earn as much as other high end reverb developer.

What is 'avenger'? That zebibyte - gigantic growing library from some of the best sound designers on this (any other planet sound designers, mediocre as x time better than....?) planet - expansions sample library (each sold separately, of course) "the mother of synthesis".. "synth".. sampler? The real question is, why so vengeful reaction, and who is the avengers villain.. or hero antagonist?
