    So can I clean the registry without the software/plugins losing authorization/registration and stuff like that?
    I'm not worried about the safe issues (privacy) in CCleaner I'm gonna uninstall it after doing this clean. I'm pretty sure I have a lot of garbage in the registry would have been nice to clean it up

    Firstly, you can and should make a registry backup with CC before cleaning it.
    Secondly, how should CC detect if a software or its registry entries is legit or not?
    Since I don't know of any reason how this should be possible, I see no prob in using it.

    CC Cleaner analize your registry and presents you a list of the items to delete, just read the list and decide yourself.

    @Daskeladden
    Hope you back-up your pc before you start
    you can realy mess things up if anything goes wrong
    and all you will save is a few mb at most.
    All i would clean is the MUI cache just to be safe.

    P.S
    One thing to do is
    Defrag your Registry is safe ,i have my own program i use
    but you can try this one is free.

    I use Ccleaner regularly and I've never had any issue while I always let Ccleaner delete the useless files he finds.

    Make a backup just in case, use CCleaner and it's unlikely you'll have any problem. as unlikely as with legit applications. I use Glary Utilities set to "deep scan" and the only issue I've had so far is some lost valid shortcut.
    With CCleaner and similar as important as the registry is to delete temporary files. They can slow down your PC and it's the preferred location for malware to spread.

    The CCleaner malware was some time ago and it was solved. Download from trustworthy location and it's good.
