To make things short, i suck at computers sadly, so will this computer be good for music production? SOme heavy kontakt samples and alots of vst and eqs. Or will this computer get shit on? Will also play games with this computer but probably dont need such high graphic card but we. Yes, it's a very good PC both for music production AND gaming. Just don't forget to add a good cooling system to your CPU. The 512 GB of space is going to filled up pretty fast tho. 1TB or more is recommended if you want to store games and big kontakt libraries.
@audnord Is that a good computer? Yes, it is. But please add some more RAM to it. And as @SceleJohn suggested, make sure that you have a good cooling system. A 512 GB as the system drive is big enough. He is better off keeping all the big libraries on a separate drive.
Found a site that build computers for you, so is this better? https://www.inet.se/datorbygge/b1095680/musikbygge (Swedish website) sorry for that but i think you can see what it is! Look better then the one i posted?
A custom built computer to your specs is the way to go if you can afford it. You will be getting exactly what you want/need.
This one have a cooling system but no fan, chatted with someone and he said its not needed for my specs is he right? This one is i sent now is cheaper then the one i posted, will this computer run kontakt without problem and no lag? My computer right now freeze when using it so kinda scared for that. Did you see the website and does it looks good? ( The custom built costs : 1838.97 dollar so a bit cheaper
Your system will need a good cooling system if you want to reach and maintain the 4.9 Ghz turbo of the 9700K
Not the plan. is this better computer than the one i wanted first? AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8 GHz 36MB EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB XC Black GAMING Gigabyte X570 GAMING X Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2666Mhz CL16 Vengeance LPX Samsung 860 QVO 1TB Seagate BarraCuda Desktop 3TB 5400rpm 256MB
Yes,it will... just remember that the Audio interface comes come into play too. Latency will vary from ono AI to another so choose carefully.
Yeah and it's not just latency. My entire daw starts lagging if I don't have an interface connected on a pretty good pc
One thing I would change is the memory. You can go for in-expensive Samsung RAM (DDR4 - 3000 or DDR4 - 3200). Better memory latency (decreased bottlenecks).
I dont really need a super graphic card to play my games so it was kinda unnecessary. If i go for this instead? will it be better AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 36MB
The computer i have now is intel-i5 6400 (cpu - 2,70 gHz) 8gb ram , so probably because of this everything freezes
Seems very good to me. If you don't know how to add by yourself more RAM, perhaps I'd advice you to get 32GB. If you can add it later 16GB are enough to start rockin. Pretty much the same with the storage.
If you only do music production and gaming go with intel, if you do other work like 3d animation and stuff like that go with AMD
If i change to these instead then? Will it be better Intel Core i7 9700KF 3.6 GHz 12MB mother card: ASUS PRIME Z390-A
