    I've attempted to, and failed, at trying to recreate the Adobe Black skin for the latest version of FL.
    Does anyone have any info on how to go about this, or is there anyone that can drop this skin for FL 20.5.1? It's just beautiful and my favorite skin to work in. I would honestly say that I've made better music using it because it's put me in the zone by the vibe it gives off. Please help!

    It is ok bro,:bow: it just did not make much sense with the other thread being active and all the skinners contributing frequently.

    Some colors are not changeable anymore since Imageline uses a new protection that encrypts the file where you could change them. For example the mixer dB meters which are blue (see picture above) as well as the green/black sequencer steps in the channel rack are affected.

    If you think the music you made was better using the skin, why don't you stay with the old version?

    If those FL updates are so tempting that we always have to install them immediately to feel better or saver or whatever, it could be that we fell for their marketing trick to make us believe exactly that. So many products get marketed that way nowadays.

    I think sometimes one should be very careful and better use what's already within reach. One essential marketing strategy is to create a feeling of something missing and emptyness in customers, which they can fill up when buying or updating.., etc.. I think this can make humans completly dull.
    :crazy::mad:
    Imagine a hardware manufacturer updating their product as often as FL was updated in the last two years. Customers would go nuts if they really would be concerned with all those new features and probably not finish a single track in between checking out new features, implementing new workflows... Just my 2 ยข

    Because they will not allow the likes of @mono , @Maizelman, and @r4e to take away from Fl Studio the privilege of being the DAW with the most unpleasant color scheme. :thumbsdown:

    With new skin in the DAW's my tunes sounds better?? I think no... For me, the most important elements on a DAW are the piano roll, and FL Studio and Logic have the best ones. Just enough to make tunes...

    Their explanation is that "the way skins for FL Studio are distributed, they are often bound up with cracked dlls, and additionally to skin FL Studio you must breach copyright."

    And for sure that's true, but only because after the skins were everywhere, hyped on youtube and whatnot, IL changed their EULA and thus did everything to prevent users from skinning and using skins.

    Sounds like Image Line logic. Basically encouraging people to crack the dll's in order to skin it instead of just allowing them to modify some bitmaps or whatever without circumventing the copy protection
