If you link the grooves from stylus into omni it becomes more than a vintage loop library

I've been meaning to mess with this myself

Trying to read you while eyeing that avatar of yours is a serious challenge.

Thanks for the heads up (and the butt out) and please recommend those libraries that you think are a must for Stylus.

I've been collecting RX2 files over the years and used a few of them in Ableton from time to time, was always intrigued by Stylus but for whatever reason rarely used it.
Until 2018 when Korg collaborated with propellerheads and released their Rex player Dr Octo Rex on the iPad and iPhone as "Stockholm" inside Korg Gadget. That changed everything for me.
Being able to have my whole REX collection on the iPad and from time to time build my own using ReCycle loops (you could also use Reason Lite) I was literally able to playfully compose sitting on the couch.
Sliced REX loops come to life best when you start tweaking slice positions, pitch, filter, velocities, reverse and envelopes, and put together slices from different loops. That's where the sound of the basic loop library becomes somewhat irrelevant.
You can build so much new stuff with just a few basic REX loops!
And all the fiddling and tweaking using a mouse has become fun again on an iPad.

No iPad here but happy to play with some REX loops in my DAW. I think SliceX in FL Studio accommodates (perfers in fact) REX loops. If there are some libraries you can recommend, please let me know.

I do wholeheartedly recommend to record and sample your own!
Even if it's just you playing an instrument you're not good at playing but good at fixing it in a proper slicer. And SliceX is great too.

What do you mean by record my own? Do you mean create my own using drum samples? I do that. That's what I'm doing now. If you mean mike a drum set and play a real drum kit, I have neither the mikes not the drums, unfortunately...

No, more like recording a loop, a riff, a line that you're going to slice and give it a new rhythm, a new order and new accentuation.

Yeah.... a new and updated release (Stylus 3) could be awesome indeed.

Yep. As I said. I do that all the time, and not just for grooves. As I said in my question, I was wondering whether Stylus was worth a look as it is rarely mentioned unlike Omnisphere, Keyscape or Trillian. But it is just another tool in the end. Someone still has to do the work.

Stylus is a very handy tool and like with all other tools, it depends on your own creativity how this can do the job for you. If you give it the proper attention, it can work miracles.
