    Hi AudioSex producers.

Have you ever considered an alternative to side-chain compression? We at denise audio have, and that's why we added a side-chain option to our recent plugin release, The Sweeper. With the side-chain option selected, this dynamic envelope following filter then turns into a more precise way to duck a selected channel using a high pass filter. Sidechain compression will reduce the volume of the whole channel. Useful if you want to create an dance music style pumping effect, but for mixing a kick and sub bass it's not so precise, and will lead to alterations in the lower mids and mid range of your bass or bassline.

Check out how the plugin works from our tip & trick video:

Is this something you think will benefit your mix?

Hi TPR82. Actually the plugin has many uses, which you can check out on our website where we have tips & tricks using the plugin.

The plugin is a dynamic envelope following filter, and with the side-chain option it allows for a cleaner alternative side-chain compression.

Maybe he means cleaning live recording as sidechaining one mic and another one - deebleeding, to avoid phase cancellation issues etc

Absolutely, this plugin can for cleaning up unwanted noise, deebleeding, and more.

We have some examples of uses for this plugin on the website, including one that's called "Remove hiss": https://www.denise.io/store/denise/TheSweeper/#proProducer For doing de-bleeding I would recommend a similar technique that's used here, for example.

Oh my god someone invented multiband expanding/compression/envelope shaping or whatever.
    With or without sidechaining.
    It's something completely new.
shut up and take my money.
if someone here doesn't know how to dehiss, dereverb, debleed or stuff like that:
learn how to use the tools you already got.
It already has been done in the eighties. You needed a patchbay, 4 expanders/or compressors with sidechaining for the debleeding, 4 eqs and some device to sum the stuff up after that.
