How do you guys get your samples from YouTube and other sites I really would like to be able to use my phone for the downloading purposes it would save me alot of time and I could build up a library while I'm out n about.

 

I don't. But there are websites that convert the copyrighted YouTube material to your desired audio format.

Not from a phone, but using jdownloader, you can download audio and video from YouTube.
If the format doesn't suit your needs you can change it with any online free audio converter or program.

Isn't it easier using a free software such as Audacity?
Download>execute the program. Set your audio recording device to which you're using (any 'loopback' will do).

Press record on Audacity. It will create a track, where it will be registering the audio recorded.
Press play on the video where the sample is.
Once you have the sample recorded on Audacity:
File>Export>Export as (wav/mp3...).
Simply, fast, easy and the software is free.

 

Since you want to do it from your phone, you should check for video downloading browser add-ons. If you're using Firefox, I'd suggest "Download Video & Flash", a little add-on that let's you download videos from various websites. Quite various.

what kinds of samples? kits or like sound fx ?
kits idk if i'd trust from youtube but sound fx im a big fan of gankin off the tube lol

 

Yea it's just a better time management system for me to find samples on my phone with about to have a baby on the way plus work I try to limit my computers internet access since I dont have wifi.. but thank you guys for all your input

Sorry. It's an app or in site video or audio downloader. I use this for extracting original quality audio.

 

Sorry for not explaining but it's an app you can download to extract the video or audio from a YouTube vid.
