Bro, you definitively are on a different road on this. I am not an attorney but can tell you this much. I can make an app to download streaming videos, which per se includes YouTube, and I do NOT need to get ANY authorization from You Tube or any other streaming service. Let us take Michel Gutierrez's Video DownloadHelper. Do you think that Michel obtained licensing from You Tube, Porn Hub, Vimeo, etc? He did not. Below is an example of how Michel covered his ass from any potential lawsuits related to copyright infringement.

As I said earlier, none of the arguments pointing to copyright as being the reason why the VST proposed by the OP has not been developed holds any water.

 

You already are biased. If you were not, you would not make such comments. Indeed, I thought that you would take the "nasty" and move on. By trying to defend the indefensible, all you are doing is digging yourself into a deeper hole.

I think A little C+ and youtube-dl would come a long way and would not be an hard thing to do,
Youtube-dl is getting regular update's so that would be less of concern.

Go buy your music theory book, buy an instrument and play that damn thing.

 

its out there allready i bet....

you talkin from 2 different things...sampling is not just about notes or midi phrases or however its called......even you playing 10 intruments...also i bet his content is more soundesign related..

you cant play/copy stuff from a motown record or such...you end up with a dry sample...
sure there is stuff were it would work but not on majority...

also and you will never be play as good as this ppl from 1950-1980
nobody wants to sample the plain stuff...

If you are on win, then use the old Odeus wdm2vst plugin(look on sister site).

I use Odeus Asio-link, were you can route audio from one app to another.
Its also possible to aktivate loopback ports and audio over IP. You can daisychain several apps or use it as a summing mixer.

If you install asio-link,then you also install up to 16 stereo or 4 suround WDM ports(7.1),with the wdm port its easy to route any audio-stream direktly to your DAW without transcoding.The audio quality is much better with this solution.
And you can record all the streams as a multi-channel Flac File.

Just type giveacadamy in your search engine of chioce, and test it for your self.

 

I admit that what you said about hip hop makes lot of sense. Respect for that

 

I use Movavi's tool http://www.movavi.com/support/how-to/how-to-take-a-screenshot-on-windows8.html, cherish it since I started making music visualization as it has a lot in a toolkit.
