That isn't a supersaw. It's a square-based pluck. Try a square wave, lower the filter (make sure it's a lowpass) and modulate it with an envelope with a short delay and sustain (or no sustain).

This is a supersaw (starting at 1:14).

The sound that starts at 8sec (supersaw) or that starts at 1sec (single square wave pluck)? They are two very different sounds.

If you want the supersaw-ish sound (arp in the background) you can download the free T-Force Alpha Plus if you are on WinPC. First preset should get you going. This sound brings me back to the old ReFX Vanguard days.

I wouldn't even call it a pluck, I can barely any filter envelope on it. It's a really simple sound any subtractive synth can make lol.

Yes, the ARP sound in the back that starts around 8secs is a supersaw with some lp filter envelope shaping.

Edit: listening back to the sound a couple more times, its definitely detuned stacked supersaws... very much reminds me of some of the older Nexus trance presets. Or given the year this track was released it might be the Access Virus TI.

i'm sorry but i received 100 replies saying supersaw with some filter...

why don't u try do it and then compare it??? it sounds nothing like that

yes i'm talking about the synth that is introduced at 8 seconds...

it has some sort of edge that you can't get with supersaw i don't know why u all keep saying that

please try do it and upload an example

What do you want me to say? the examples you uploaded were either a square wave or had no envelope
Its a plucky saw wave with detuning, im sure whatever synth you are using got some presets you can start with

Ok, I tried a "supersaw with some filter" trick, and it sounds to me it kinda gets me there..

    https://clyp.it/ukthjdkv
tip: assign controller or automation to the cutoff to find the sweet spot

Mind the rhythm. If you have 4/4, take 3 16th notes and insert them on - I think E-B-E(+12) - consecutively into the piano-roll. Or program the arpeggio on your synth the same way. You can lower the velocity (or velo-to-volume) of the 5th (B) to taste, so that it sounds like only the octave is played.. What synth are you using?

which synth vst have u used for this matt777 the beginning is really close, the filter never really opens on the original i guess

the only difference i can hear is that the original is a bit more dirty sounding so maybe a bit distortion or something

No effects, only two detuned saw waves and a closing filter with a bit of resonance.

This took 5 min to make it in Dune 3, which is my favorite synth for trance this week..;), but I guess it can be done in any subtractive synth capable of a simple saw virus-like x-voices detune/spread. I've done it with 3 notes arp "Up". Of course there can be other elements in the original that make the sound dirty, like noise (+short env).. hth now. Good luck :)

I don't think your attempt at recreation of the sound is far off. have you tried adding some saturation and fuzz style distortion? It's the fuzz fx blended that can help get this texture on your synth. In uhe zebra2 there is a distortion fx module in the synth that is perfect for this because you can select the frequency ranges and intensity of the distortion.
