    I’d take the RE20 dynamic T-Shirt.

    The RE-20 is the far and ahead the best mic for many applications on your list. I have one and have used it for vocals, both stand-up and electric bass, kick drum, acoustic guitar and percussion. What is not surprisingly on your list is a Shure SM57 which can be a fantastic and cost conscious workhorse in your studio.

    Great vocal mic in some situations, actually

    If you need a Dynamic T shirt I'd get a Shure Sm7b great all round studio weapon. Its like a SM57 beta (which I own) on steroids.
    Lots of big record finals with that mic. Awesome for singing in the control room.

    I have an Audix i5 (more like an SM57 beta than a standard 57) and an OM10 both great dynamic tshirts
    i5 is a great instrument mic, quite directional. If thats what you are using it for, get a cheap pencil condenser tshirt

    Every other T shirt on that list except the RE20 sucks balls. I own one AKG tshirt, a 747 pencil condenser (fantastic, very stylish)

    I, Thom and Stevie have used the RE-20 for vocals, as well as others, so you'd be in good company to do so too.

    And one of my favorite songs of all time...

    "On some songs we used a [Neumann] 87 for Steve's vocals, a lot of times an RE20 worked out really well for him, and there was also a Telefunken 47 that he tried and didn't like all that much but which we did use for his harmonica."

    Slate digital ml-2. I bought one out of curiosity. I tested it just for fun on vocals. This thing is really impressive for its price. It sounds like my sm7b and it needs less gain.
    18 mics in 1.

    I once tried recording vox through one of my old t-shirts - frankly, it stank... :drummer:

    Its very Tempting I must say. Dunno about the reality though, although I have a good mate (heavy hitter) with one that I may borrow to try it out. He swears by it and has some awesome microphones and Pre's in his kit. Maybe my curiosity will win out one day but hey..i'm locked and loaded
    Sanken CU44x, TLM 103, U87, Rode Classic, audio technica ae5400, SM7b, solid tube, beez neez and so on blah blah...

    Better than your mums Panty Hose :bleh::woot:

    @Dimentagon
    You won't be disappointed. If you test it on vocals you need a decent pop filter (I used 2 - or you have a good mic technique). Because it is very prone to plosives (small condenser). But the emulation works very well. Even without a slate preamp. I use a clean rme interface preamp.
    And for instruments, the beauty of it is, that you can simply double your recorded track and use 2 different mics, to get the sound you want. I will buy a second one.
