I didn't see any MIDI files... all I saw were MP3's. You have a tempo of 111 bpm but the MP3 files are compressed, so over time they have shifted slightly so they no longer align with the measures... that's why I asked for an (uncompressed) WAV file. I can still make this work. I might just redo all the parts (you only have 4 instruments and a wet bus track) and then add some tracks too (just for shits and giggles).

BTW: What type of track do you want this to be? What style/genre?

Got it... the first 2 times I looked and clicked on it nothing happened so I didn't think it was a file, but I got it now.

You don't have any chords playing anywhere anyway, just a bass line pedaling root-to-5th in a salsa groove so the MIDI file is not really necessary anyway. I'll add harmonic content to this...

Funny you mention brass sounds. I was going to put a brass section in it too but I just needed to be done with it because I need to get my other music done... I make a living from composing for tv mostly but also film, video games, corporate video jobs, etc.

 

Oh... I'm just realizing that your "riser" is missing!! It was supposed to be there!! I was in a hurry and told myself "two hours, that's it! Then you are done!!"... sorry. I kept most of your bass line and used the root notes for the chords. I added the "bridge" which goes into the short guitar solo and then put in the obligatory Santana drum solo!!

 

Your song has enough Latin flavor that it reminds me of the taste of Mofungo, ala Puerto Rican cuisine.
