difficulty extracting .rar files on Mac

    cc... some of our fellow Windows, Linux and Hackintosh users can be at least as pretentious as some Mac users. ;)

    Guys! He most probably just have got incomplete rar files. No matter which app he will try if the problem was in the downloading process.
    It's better to try redownloading every parts (if there are many) or also from different source (hoster).
    The download manager can also be the culprit.

    if the files were downloaded correctly, in all these years I have never had a problem with Keka.

    It happens sometimes that the files seem complete by size but not working yet. Then the person downloads it from other FFS source (or skips the faulty download manager) and that one extracts fine.

    I agree with you on that. I don't remember if this is his second download of this release. What the OP needs to do is take the download and try to open it in a Windows System, if it fails then he must download it once again. That simple.

    Edit: I just checked and it is download number 2 for him. It can only be one of 2 things, an incomplete download (which he checked and claims to be a complete one) OR his system. I know is that it is not the original upload links because too many people used them. If he downloaded from mirrors that could be a possible problem too.

    @Prashant Do the test with a PC. If you need to download again use the torrent. it is VERY healthy.

    When you have finished downloading it go to root folder and run a SHA256 checksum. Compare it with ones below:

    Folders:18
    Files:77
    Size: 67123556734 bytes (64014 MB)

    SHA 256 checksum for data:

    As I have been saying to you since we first spoke you need to be 100% sure that you have a complete download. Best bet is to use a PC.
