The friggin cube has 43 quintillion (that's 18 zeroes) possible positions. This just seems so unbelievable that i'm about to buy one, split it open, and build those positions one after the other. So you guys probably won't see any of my bullshit for the next 30 years or so as i'll be kinda busy.

18? I thought there were only 12 zeroes in a trillion.

Oops! A german thing, the german word "trillion" is actually a "quintillion" in english, original post edited, thanks!
And the german "billion" is different from the english "billion" btw.

Englis, German or Mexican. I heard that a billion Mexican pesos are just 52,661,500.00 U.S. Dollars. Not even enough for the latest iPhone and Apple computer.

when i was 12 orso i went on holiday in former Yugoslavia, was the easiest money conversion every, just take the yugoslavian amount and put a comma before the last 6 decimals and it would be the dutch equivalent

But seriously, that Rubik topic really fucks with my mind. It's like i can't think abstract enough to wrap my mind around the fact that there are so many possibilities. If i had been asked how many positions were possible i'd probably have answered a couple of thousands (knowing in the back of my mind that that wouldn't be enough - as is usually the case with such things). But 43000000000000000000?!? HOW?! WHY?! WHO?! WHEN?! WHERE?! I GOZ CRAZY!!!

i mean we are talking positions, not moves or solutions, just postitions...

and another useless fact, EVERY SINGLE position can be solved in 20 twists or less

As soon as he figures out all the combinations and sees how everything is connected, he is gonna be the one to provide those cracks in the first place :woot:
