It's so annoying any ideas on what I can do?
It even does it when my keyboard is disconnected

 

I've had that happen and did a search.

Here's what you will mainly hear:

• Batteries low (if wireless)

• The little internal spring thingy under the button is going bad

• Needs cleaning

• The mouse is kaput

I never found out the real reason because it simply stopped as strangely as it started. But I can say that it didn't start in the first place until after a Windows update. So if you're on a Mac, I'm not sure which prob is yours.

 

@Misterguywick Is there a problem with your Shift key? Is your Mouse's ClickLock option unchecked?

 

Yes my shift key was stuck. I thought I checked. Clearly not properly
