I have been looking to clear my hard drive of samples I don’t need, but I am realizing I am really lacking on quality snare samples. Are there any sample packs out there that contain high quality snare samples you like or any individual ones? This could also include kontakt libraries. Thank you!

Check out the loopmasters deadmau5 xfer pack. IF you are used to vengeance/cymatics kind of drums then these WILL sound different. It is an old but useful sample pack. But you would not get those "hard hitting" dubstep/future bass/trap snares in this. more suited for house-style music. My personal fav is the snare used in Post Malone's rockstar

I like Anno Domini stuff. It's geared towards hip-hip, but sounds great in other types of music.

I'd recommend just using Kick 2 and keeping a couple libraries with live snare drums, foley sounds, white noise, snare room hits, etc. to layer in there

Making drums with Kick 2 is so easy it barely counts as sound design. Just get a feel for how you like to draw the pitch envelope and the rest of it is standard sampler stuff.

I'll agree wholeheartedly with Cav Emp. If you use a dedicated drum synth to create your own snares you can fine tune them in regard to pitch, length and transient information for each individual song. Also, knowing that you have the chops to create your own drum sounds from the bottom up is extremely self empowering.
