shawarma : called shawarma in most countries around the world ,and have different sizes of bread (eather 5 inch bun/or arabic pita bread which is very light and you can eat 3 of those and still want 4th with beer/coke

shawarma can be lamb /beef/veal /chicken (regular /and spicy mexican style ),well marinated and spiced over night before
piercing and placing it on the pedal ,best served with garlic sauce (for chicken) /and white soury tahina for beef lamb veal
other resurants has their own sauces (just make sure to add little lettus and tomatos to the sandwish cuz you dont want it watery and slippery (specially if you are going with friends to movies lol .happen to me but i got spare cloths in my car )

donor kebab is mainly beef /veal ,and donor kebab is turkish style,and donor has that unique taste totally different than shawarma
the bread itself is different and its bigger than the shawarma bread ,the donor bread bread will make you full since it has alot of
topping beside the donor slices itself ,onions tomato lettus pickles,and that special white sauce
(garlic mayo sauce or garlic yougurt type of sauce on top and you will be a happy man eating that

i have Greek fella invited me to his gyro returant , the gyro grilled beef was slow cooked served with fries and spicy mayo sauce
/its same as shawarma but in greece its called gyro beef and it tasted fantastic as well,

GYRO beef?? WTF?? No such thing, you obviously have never had a REAL GYRO oh and that so called Greek guy was prob an Italian ...

 

This is very interesting but i still want to try the shawarma myself. I tried the gyro and the doner kebab and they're completely different, but i'm interested in shawarma since the post credits scene in the first Avenger movie.

There is no beef in Gyro. Gyro is pork.

 

true foobar bruh, gyro is done by pork in Greece and other countries ,
but the one i had with my Greek fella was in UAE (they don't serve pork in restaurants
and it was made by beef i can assure you that ,

mykal bruh ,i did googled gyro and found out in US only they do gyro with almost everything you name it (pork chicken beef lamb ,some restaurants serve Mexican gyros with
chicken or mixture of beef and lamb and other restaurants they have pork as u say bruh

personally i dont like pork but it would be interesting to try Mexican gyro chicken or beef

slaking_97 bruh , the shawarma can by done at home ,you just need the ingredients ,
and you need small pedal that can turn shawarma around automatically
,and then can cut off the grilled parts with sharp knife ,
but if you dont have pedal ,you can always use a large frying pan
and the cook shredded beef/chicken while adding herbs/spices and oil/butter
after they are ready ,take them out add butter on top of them
(and you should add also the white sauce (home made garlic sauce or the yogurt sauce
( you can google shawarma at home with many tasty results

I'm a fan of cooking as well. Generally Mexican, Indian, and African, with special love for spicy or just different sauces and dips. My latest "discovery" is Spanish Alioli garlic sauce... yuuuumy! And so good for digestion and health in general. Could talk about it for hours... you got me interested in this Mayo sauce [sounds familiar]...

I just had a chicken shawarma wrap from a new Greek place here in town yesterday that almost made me cry. Homemade tzatziki sauce on the side, stuffed with French fries ... awesome. I almost went for the more-obvious gyro, but I'm glad I decided to go outside the box instead.
