    Hey,

A couple of months ago I bought the 800 and something € version of FL studio and it worked fine...................for a week. After that I started experiencing very frequent crashes, entire projects just getting currupted and never opening again, plugin manager takes literally up to 40 mins to open obstucting the screen because the plugin manager window always stays on top of other windows, it completely crashes EVERY time I click on "more plugins" and loading projects takes too long on a high end computer. And on top of all that image line refused to give me a refund.
So I'm asking you guys , how can an almost 900€ piece of software be this bad ?

PS. If you can give me suggestions on FL studio alternatives I would appreciate it.

EDIT: I'm not trying to hate on FL studio. I love it to death and that's why I have stayed so long with it. I have tried a lot of good DAWs and I think it's the greatest one.

Fl has some shitty copy protection, try using the cracked version with removed protection to see, if performance will normalize or get another DAW - Reaper is good and very cheap, too bad that you can't use FL's plugins in other DAWs without buying them as vsts, most of them are pretty good, I think.

I bought FL studio 16 years ago, never payed for update and can count on one hand the amount of times it crashed or had any problems with plugins. but if you really did buy it you can ask in the forums, they have excellent support.

Look In Fl some plugins you need to search and take a lot of time Load to find them, for example Waves Complate

Does that not imply that there is something wrong with your system? What changes have been made that was not made when it worked as it should?

Long time FL user and legit owner here. Problem sounds like some type of driver issue. What audio interface do you use? Do you have anti-virus running? Are all your plugins legit? Are you using 32bit bridged plugins? Did you make a template with a ton of plugins in it? You could be using some plugins that FL doesn't like too much on your system. Are you using any ilok plugins? If so is the ilok attached to a USB hub?

Also your title is more attention seeking than "Hey, I need some help".

No not all of my plugins are legit but my fl is. I'm using a behriger umc204HD. Antivirus is Windows defender with malware bytes, yes some of my plugins are bridged, I start from scratch every time so no templates.

Why does FL studio suck so much ? Well, I could say because it's not REAPER, but honestly, it's because it's not REAPER. [IMG]

No, seriously, this is strange. If it worked before it is probable that you messed up an installation, accidentally, otoh, if you have so much experience with reinstalling everything this is unprobable, but at least it's a bit more probable.
It sounds indeed like a failed installtion of the drivers or some Microsoft stuff.

Does anyone have a link to a cracked version, maybe that's gonna work better ? Also are corrupted fpl files recoverable ?

bought 11 years ago, 10 years using Ableton, bcs FLs freeze feature is crap :( and i like to freeze stuff on a go to actual work witht he audio and at the time switching, FL could not over this.

Just to be clear, FL works flawless since years, even the regged version by R2R (because i used legit version paired with regkeys from R2R), so from where should come the performances drawn back OP does talk about?
FL has grown really huge over the years, i mean i remember 2.7.2 from like 2002? and it only 3xosc and ts303 as synths back in the days and now - wow!!!
(they had a neat little timebomb back in 4.1.0, where it did zip itself and distroyed the zip-head afterwards, so you you lost all your projects, stuff was inside the FL folder saved back in the days - i lost my first 20 flzips that way :() other than that FL is just fine imo!

And if you bought it you deserve support and IL is rather quickly with that, i once got a bug adressed within like 20 hours, where a IL employee compiled a dll for me new and boom bug fixed ... so what?!

i like Ableton more, i feel better with the workflow.

  21. It doesn't work for me, so it must be crap, QED.

Some people don't deserve support. Particularly the people who can't get support and then dump a shite trip thinking it's the quickest way to get what they want.

Almost reminds me of Studio One.
