There are afree and paid versions of the app for iOS (Apple) and Android devices.

Band in a Box is also excellent - a little more expensive but a larger selection of tunes and arrangements - all Speed Test Scrabble Word Finder Solitaire of which can be accessed as piano-only versions.

There are specialized plugins (VAMP). I think for analytical purposes this program is very useful. And it's free.

To convert polyphonic audio into midi?

    Currently (2019)
    - 'by ear' is still the only 99% reliable way
    - I support 100% all recommendations to teach your brain how to do it
    - programs attempting to do this are still mostly a comedy of errors
    - programs are getting better and better all the time
    - examples like Melodyne are now really useful if you use it skilfully
and you're prepared to fix up the results after it's given you its best shot.

    - and then there are some pleasant surprises...

It's not doing anything that Melodyne can't be persuaded to do but it is remarkably well configured by default and I was really surprised by just how good the results were before I even bothered trying to use it well.
