A few days ago there were updates released for the "Berlin Orchestra Inspire" Kontakt libraries on the sister site, but checking just recently, they have been taken off again, and not only those but every other library from Orchestral Tools ever released on the site, including Metropolis etc... quite mysterious. Makes me curious what are the reasons - someone knows what happened?

Have all the Orchestral Tools libraries suddenly become toxic...? CIA, KGB or Mossad involved? Some Iran/Trump thing in the code?

 

Don't mean to hijack your thread but I'm having difficulty adding those "Berlin Orchestra Inspire" libraries in Kontakt 6.1.1 on Win 10 and since the threads I've been removed from the sister site I thought perhaps I could get help here. Last few libraries I got showed up without me having to do anything. Not these 2. Then when I click "add library" I get an error message (file not found) maybe I didn't install that properly. I tried to rescan my library folder didn't work. I added the link to those 2 folders in Database still no go. Any tips would be appreciated.

 

Hey beluga_man, no problem... not sure if it´s the solution to your problem, but try to run the "BOI Win Installer.exe" (resp. ".pkg" if Mac) file in the library folder if you haven´t yet.

 

Thanks for the tip but I don't have that program in my library folder Win 10 here.

I can't see any torrents either for the original inspires where I got mine from, or the updates

 

Well, like @No Avenger already said, due to a DMCA takedown request, all torrents and other links from hosters are removed from the Internet, which means that any further public sharing of those files is no longer possible.

 

The same happened to all plugin-alliance recent releases. On torrent sites too
DMCA Takedown...

 

why has an american copyright act anything to do with the rest of the world. Orchestral tools ist German nein?

 

if you haven't this in library package (and haven't nicht file), then not all parts was downloaded or you have corrupted parts (one or more).
btw, using windows 10 run kontakt as administrator when adding library.

 

Visit periodically, then collect. Store your collection.

 

@No Avenger I appreciate that you are pointing out the rules of Audioz, I was talking more about the apparent removal of torrents globally

 

Why no images on sister site! too?!?! :O None of the stuff have images visible. It's all just pure text. Or it's something at my end only?

edit: disabled adblocker, I can see everything now!

 

A frequent problem with downloads from torrents.

 

The torrent is still online. What disappears is the entries from search engines. For example, a notice or a court order is served on Google to remove entries for an specific torrent. You don't see it but the torrent still is out there. You cant kill a torrent.

Exactly Pirate. This is why i said apparent removal. So really the same question, does america police the internet? Surely there must be a search engine the america can not control and if they do control everything, who gave them the right?

 

Brother this is not about the United States policing the internet. It is about copyright owners protecting their intellectual property. That simple.The government is not sending the notices. The government simply provides the tools by enacting laws that allow those notices to be sent, and enforce its compliance.

Interesting discussion... I like the idea my initial post was inspiring it as it might clear a few things up.

To be honest, I was kind of guessing that.
It just makes me wonder, if theoretically all copyright owners will do that tomorrow, the Site will be empty?
It always made me think a bit to see the home country of the site is the US, making it prone to that, and wondering why it’s not some pacific island or wherever people locate sites they want out of reach...

 

@The Pirate you say that simple but I am still not understanding this. How is a piece of american legislation necessary to protect a German company from a Russian Torrent site? Who is sending these notices? Orchestral tools? America enforces it's compliance you say? How, by what right?
