Hello @Radioactive Fallout & friendly greetings

May i kindly ask if you have a usb midi controller ? this obviously does not sound like you performed it on a real piano ( the first one )

If not : i kindly suggest you get one perhaps something like this that is not so expensive  :

    + a sustain pedal  :

    ^ ^
That way with a keyboard having more than 25 keys you will be able to play more naturally & play different velocities
,,,,also having a sustain pedal will help you achieve a more realistic piano performance too (make sure to study how real piano players use it & don't hold it down all the time

i hope you did not randomly generated those notes on a computer program nor inputed/draw the notes via the piano roll on FL Studio

i hope you find the above info helpful,if not at least i tried ,thanks for sharing & Happy Summer ! :)

edit : also try to use your emotions & personal stories in your music :)

I think piano lessons should be first on the list. And music-theory study.
Yet, in any other post I read by the op, it sounds like he knows everything there is to know...

OP. If you can apply just some of what you constantly write about to you own music, it will make a huge difference.
I have been playing my instrument for 35 years of my 46 years on this planet and I make money from it.
But there will always be others that are more advanced than me.
It's a long slog, but it really is worth it to study and practice as hard as you possibly can.

The fact that you have suddenly started using sus9 chords makes me think you are using one of those chord apps.
I don't understand how it could suddenly change from what you were posting, which was very similar to a person called Foster, to using a sus9.

As a suggestion, I have made an even shorter piece for you to think about. If you're not a trained piano player, that's OK, neither am I, but I know you can create a mood with very few notes. This is all "white notes" and suggests a mood without complexity.

Nice, @Radioactive Fallout! Was doing some orch stuff that just refuses to work as supposed.. I really needed a genre-specific break. So here is my take on your theme. Writer's block gone (postponed..)

Awesome! Sounds like me when I get home shitfaced at 4 in the morning and sit by the piano (when I instead should be drinking lots of water and be on my way to the bed).

Humans playing musical instruments can convey emotion as an immediate response. Filling in spaces on a piano roll, although of course can too for the listener, is far removed from the micro imperfections each note and timing difference can register as an emotion expressed. Add them all up and there is beauty in imperfection.

  13. Please accept my apologies for the late answering. These days I've been swamped with some construction works and have no time to call my own.:shalom:

  14. I use a small midi-keyboard for transferring my compositional ideas to the computer like most of us. It's not that bad but not as good as your suggested one. Deeply grateful for the info (esp. for the pedal). In the near future I'll get one with more feature.

    Absolutely not random.

  15. Thanks heaps for the recommendations. They are absolutely necessary but in the composition time, the conditions specify what is right or wrong. Unfortunately music-theory is not more practical for unusual or even usual practices and in most cases prohibits them that makes me really disappointed.

  16. I'm beside myself with joy that have an experienced player with us.:mates:

I'm sick to death of using those apps. They kill the creativity and impose limitations on the possibilities but unfortunately their users are seemingly unaware of that.

  17. Why? Because it's unusual? I even brought down the tempo to let the listeners enjoy more.

  18. It's beautiful. You're a talented piece maker.:bow::bow::bow:

  19. Hey baby, it's beautiful too. It seems yours is more structural than mine.

But in this piece I also tried to inject more silences and different note durations. As you know, whenever their proportions go up in a piece, its danceability goes down. I don't think you like that condition?:mates:

  20. It shows you're a responsible and dutiful artist for your fans. They love that kind of person.:mates::rofl:

  21. It's an excellent advice but my main aim in this piece was testing some compositional ideas.

There are lots of imperfections. Imperfections are not limited to just velocity and timing. Unfortunately DAWs just provide them and no one requests more.
