Bro what do you mean by same thing? Be more specific. Another question. Did you update Windows 10 after installing 4.5 or 4.5.1. What version of Windows 10 are you using?

It was a pleasure helping you. You did everything exactly as told, and most importantly you did not question my instructions. Many times when I try to help another member on an individual basis, the member constantly asks questions that do nothing but interrupt my thought process. Some other times, the member does more than the instructions call for. This always backfires.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those wondering what we did here it is a brief description:

    1. Studio One was removed entirely. Revo Uninstaller and Regscanner were employed to remove any traces. The "Find String" terms use in Regscanner were Studio One and Presonus. The Matching term used was Registry item contains the specified string. The scan was looking at Values, Data, and Keys. Program and Data folders were double checked to make sure that nothing had been left behind.

    2. The antivirus program was removed entirely. Once again Revo Uninstaller and Regscan were used. Program and Data folders were double checked to make sure that nothing had been left behind.

    3. A new VST 2 x64 folder was created on C: (this folder will be used only for 64 bit VST 2 plugins that do not have a VST 3 x64 counterpart)

    4. A new VST 2 x32 folder was created on C: (this folder will be used for all of Jbridged 32 to 64 processed plugins)

    5. The following entries were added to the host patch:
    127.0.0.1 registration.presonus.com
    127.0.0.1 updates.presonus.com

    6. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>VST was modified to reflect the new path for the recently created VST 2 x64 folder. This is done by double clicking on VSTPluginsPath and adding in Value data: C:\(exact name of your new VST folder)

    7. Studio One v 4.5.1 was reinstalled. Neither the Studio One exe. nor the Plugin Scanner were blocked and the OP was connected to the internet. If you are not connected to internet and have problems with Plugin Scanner, the Microsoft Loopback adapter is the solution.

    8. Upon installation and activation the only VST Plug-ins locations that were kept in Studio One were
    C:/Program Files/Common Files/VST 3
    C:/ VST 2 x 64
    C:/ VST 2 x32

Again, this was possible only because the OP was patient, and did as he was told. In this type of situations you MUST trust the person trying to help you. If you are told to remove your antivirus, do it! If you are told to delete a file, do it! But whatever you do, don't tell the helper you did something when that is not so. Bottom line is, you should have a system image prior to any modifications. Moreover, if you don't trust the helper, don't ask for help. That simple!

There's a heap of issues that has been escalated. I'm Legit. Moving to 4.5.1 I had to completely uninstall Studio one (using Revo) to fix the reorganisation of my folder structure in my VST2 -64 library. It kept reverting back to the old config even after a delete and re-scan of the VST paths.

This should be fixed in the new version. 4.5 is a major rewrite of how they handle plug in's. The plug in manager is a great addition but its not there yet. Obviously, if you install any new VST turn Virus protection off when scanning always.
Interesting, I was changing VST's in folders and Bitwig 3 saw them in real time!!

Great advice there Pirate ... RRRRR IIIIIIII...

Thank You to The Pirate for helping everybody! It wasn't a job you asked for, but you took it and invested much time and thought. When others were ready to throw in the towel you talked them out of it and inspired them to fight on. You led the way through the fires of PreSonus PlugIn Hell and came out the other end victorious.
On this day we raise our glasses to ThePirate. On this day we thank ThePirate. Forevermore we remember ThePirate and what he did here.
    Long Live ThePirate!

    I totally agree....

The Pirate is a good person you can really trust...
He stayed with me for several hours and guided me through a very complicated process without ever getting angry
If you ever need his help, I recommend that you do exactly what he tells you without asking too many questions and he will surely find the solution to your problem...
I too toast to your health, kindness and patience.
The Pirate, you are undoubtedly the best...
Now, studio one works very well and accepts all plugins without any problem

Antivirus programs have no place in a system dedicated to music. More so if you have non-legit software.

I can say the same thing about @The Pirate. Since my first day here he has been helping me. He already invested over 40 hours of his time with me. I offered to pay for his time and he got mad at me for that. A good all around dude. Ask him why he helps others and you will see what he is all about. Respect for him and everyone else that helps us.
