Hi guys, i just recently update to Mojave from High Sierra. After instaling Kontakt 5.6 and 6.1 i can't add some of the libraries on 5.6. Once i add it, everything looks as it should, but after restarting Kontakt the Library is not there anymore. Looks like Kontakt 5.6 does not hold it - anyone experiencing same problem?
    Please help!

You are adding libraries in 5.6, then you are saying they are not showing up in 6.1?

    Hi,
I have found the solution after 173 years of research (just Joking) Sharing the whole process below. Thank me later, if this woks for you

Here is the fix, for anyone, anytime when you added the library (apparently successfully) in the earlier standalone version but it doesn't show up in your new app:

    1. check the SNPID number of the library, go to the folder of the library and open the nicnt file (with TextEdit or any similar program), you will find a line like this:

    <SNPID>P74</SNPID>

(in this case P74 was the ID code of Metropolis Ark 3)

    2. go to your hard drive > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center, and look for the .xml file with the name of that desired library, open it with TextEdit and you will see that the SNPID number there is 000 which indicates that Kontakt somehow hasn't been able to add it properly, or whatever... Change that three zeros with the ID code you found in the nicnt of that library.

During this process Kontakt app should not be opened!

    What @noize2sound says is correct.
Also, remember that you may be adding libs that 5.6 is too old for as well? So then they won't show up anyway. But it's 6.1 that you need them in, eh.

^ All very similar, but we don't have the UPID line, plus we have a line before the ProductHints line, and very often we have a whole load of gobbledeegook after the last ProductHints line. Like, after all that above.

It may just end up being what @noize2sound said. It usually is!
Assuming OP is going along the right path in the first place!

What @noise2sound suggests is good advice - there have been a number of libs whose XML defaulted to a SNPID of 000, and changing it in the XML will render it visible in the libs tab. But the way Kontakt deals with new libs has evolved a lot in the past few versions - many libs do no generate XMLs, so that solution is not an option. If that's the case for you, try running a scan in Native Access - you need to be on line, but it doesn't mess anything up. I find it will sometimes wake up a lib that keeps disappearing.

Just wanted to say thankks! I am not sure why everything was working in a previous Mojave install and then it wasn't working on a fresh install, everything being the same. But this solved the issue when I was adding Kontakt 6 libraries from a portable 5.6.6 thankkkks!
