    tu découvres l'eau chaude ? :rofl::bleh:

    il est talentueux en effet.

    phare des musiciens aux U.S.

    :wink::)

I like him and agree with his opinions mostly. I think he loves himself more than that, tho! At least he has some modesty, and works fast like black bounty said; and you wish him well with all his geezah shenannigans. I kinda used to work like that (grid) but now try to play everything. It's defo more fun, albeit slower and more errors! Also less money =(

Sounds like any other cinematic composer. :dunno:

The white keys are your friend and repetition is your best friend. The only difference to pop music is the instrumentation unfortunately.

Yeah, I don't wanna defend him but if you want a reason, two words: Hans Zimmer

Yes I have been following him since a while ! Interesting tips he gives but he swears too much lol

  8. Classical compositions must be based on scores not sounds. Producers have no deep knowledge of scores and their interpretations.
They just download some instruments' packs and start to produce some sounds without any knowledge and arrange them and it's done. It's totally a wrong approach.

    Unfortunately everything is correct.

  10. Everything is not correct. Unfortunately the correctness and incorrectness have been mingled and the authorities don't allow them to be separated from each other.

Nothing is wrong with this. It is all about what your mind imagines when it hears certain sounds(Different timbres) and the story you want to tell. If you can successfully drive the point home, everything else(Musical notation, ...) is just ice on the cake.

    take care :)

i referenced him some days ago in my Cubase 10 Newbie Tutorial thread here https://audiosex.pro/threads/cubase-10-really-important-videotutorials.44410/

You guys shouldnt talk about the "quality" of his music/composing. He is pretty clever and fast in using CUBASE and MIDI.
but he came from "guess what?" ABLETON (dont trigger me on button pusher "music", lol).
James is a really honest person he doesnt pretend to be someone. I watched all his Streams, he is a ZEITGEIST phenomen, watching Deadmou5e 2 or 3 years ago, i saw a similar attitude of trial and error to make music.
I am a Jazz guy since nearly 50 years, there is only one criteria:good and bad music. Especially in this stream u can witness, that his "quiet" pieces, are way better than any EPIC bullshit. Blame Hans Zimmer for this "fashion". James just shares some time and "beers" oh no he drinks PEPSI, with us. THATS ALL!
Btw maybe u guys dont know abt how scotsman swear:

Blame those who copy, not Zimmer. He found his formula and approach and did his thing successfully. It may not be super complex but it has a perspective and uniqueness. He obviously does something better to stand out even from the thousands of copycats (so, it's not just the genre). Frankly, write all the generic epic music you like, I don't care. Listen to it if you like it. Make it if you enjoy it. There's space for everyone. Do what you like.

Note: I think Daniel should swear more. :disco: At least he's put in work to be where he is, so I appreciate that. If it's not up to your standard then do it better and surpass them. Yeah, it's not that simple, but you need to put in the work anyhow.

Agreed re. Scottish people. And Irish. 'Fuck off' is used totally differently, and isn't always disrespectful.
    But Daniel isn't Scottish.

Seems to contradict what you're saying by what ya just said. But I don't wanna get into another Zimmer argument with Zimmerbots!
    Although.. >_______>
I think anyone who has heard the score to Driving Miss Daisy will appreciate what he does that is "unique". I had to furtively listen on headphones when I was finding this, like I was watching some weird furry porn or smthn:
