6.1.1 P2P/R4e was the best WIN Kontakt release until 6.2.2

You can "hide" it in library browser or make it "visible" or "invisible" using the "Manage Library" tab. Clicking on it opens a new window that gives you the option to check the ones that you wish to make visible in library browser. If you have tons of libraries my advice is to use categories and group them. Only the main category will show up.

Thanks for all the people involved in this awesome release. I'm just wonder if k6.1.1 mac version is the best released in years too... Do this bold statement applies only for windows version?

Indeed, I had seen the possibility of hiding libraries (visible or invisible).
My problem is to remove them from the list.
I see that it is not possible ...

    Thanks The Pirate

you can delete the regedit key of the unwanted library. it will show nothing in kontakt.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\ library name
it is possible and easy to make.

The exact same reason for my statement as to this being the best Kontakt release in years. I am glad you finally get to use Kontakt.

100% agreed.:guru:, the problem 'while using Kontakt portable' is a portable logo which means you are using an illegal version of Kontakt!

The installation is easy and that's a big plus, but unfortunatelly I can't add my own libraries to Kontakt :/ For example, I made custom NICNT file with my wallpaper for Orchestral Tools - Nocturne Violin, but even though library is detected, it doesn't show up in Kontakt.

Do you know if a different "Add library" tool version can be used with this realease? The one from russian portable version was working fine for me.

First, thanks The Pirate for you wonderful job!
Then... I always installed the individual libraries manually directly from Kontakt.
So, what exactly is the "Add Library" utility for? Maybe you need to install them all together with the first Kontakt installation?
Hope I didn't ask too stupid question.

Unfortunately you can´t use the Library Manager from the Portable version, as the portable version has its own place to store all the information (in its "UserData" folder), while the "normal" version of Kontakt puts information in the Windows registry and reads it from there.

There are often problems with custom made libraries and even with "official" ones. For example, since I use the new 6.1.1 version, "CineSamples CineStrings Runs" is just giving the notorious "this instrument belongs to a library that is currently not installed" error, while until 6.0.4 (symlink version) it was working. And after deleting its entry from the registry it´s impossible to add it again, same problem as you have: "Add library" gives the "1 library successfully installed" message, but it´s not showing up in Kontakt then.

In my 6.0.4 portable version it is still working, but it shows a very weird phenomenon: Initially, it showed the same error until I added it with the "normal" Kontakt, and now that I updated my normal Kontakt to 6.1.1 and having the issue described before, sometimes I get the error in portable again, unpredictably, and next time I open it it´s fine again.
This is so weird because as I said above the portable version should have nothing to do with how and where the normal Kontakt stores its library information. Still it seems to do. And this same thing happens with libraries that usually have to be installed with a DVD installer. As if that installer is doing something that is relevant for both portable and normal versions, and that is missing if you didn´t install the library like that but just got the library folder to place on your hard drive. Happens especially with CineSamples stuff...

Anyone else knowing about that phenomenon? Does it maybe have something to do with those SNIPD numbers, like some custom made libraries have taken the number already that those ones actually need etc? And if so, how to fix it?

Bro, I have 221 Kontakt libraries. Some are "custom", others are not. I NEVER had a problem with installing ANY of those. Why? Because I followed a simple rule. Before installing a library I make sure that the SNPID is not shared by another library. Ehat do i do when the SNPID is already taken? I follow another simple rule. I do NOT modify the SNPID in an original NICNT file, I modify the SNPID in the custom NICNT . Do not expect any Kontakt version to be a magician. If Nocturne Violin is not showing up it is your fault, not Kontakt's. If the other Russian version was working for you, keep on using it.

    Hi Pirate!
I saw your feed popping up on the sister site. You seem like to have a lot of experience with Kontakt. One question: i have legit kontakt but want to add downloaded libraries. can i download the release you are talking about so legit kontakt and cracked kontakt are running side by side on my rig?
    Thanx and all the best:)

Thank you. I have been suspecting this as the reason. Now how to find the evil custom library that has taken the SNIPD that actually belongs to CineStrings Runs... I have the "HomeCooked TinyToolz" with the NI-SnpidLocator which indeed says there´s 3 entries with that SNIPD (that I looked up in the nicnt), but when clicking on the "show Found (relevant) File" button there nothing happens... do you know this tool and can tell me about it or even can recommend another (better) tool? Thanks a lot!

p.s.: by the way, most custom libraries I had been adding with the KLM 3.0 tool (long ago when I started) which is not creating a nicnt file... would you recommend deleting them and adding again with a tool that creates a nicnt to have one? Because otherwise I have no chance to change their SNIPD numbers, do I?

I am not a Kontakt power user by any stretch.
Legit with legitimately purchased libraries. Unlocked (like this version) with any library. Remember, there is no such a thing as a cracked Kontakt library. If you have the legit one you only need the dll and exe from this version BUT YOU MUST edit the name of the dll and exe. from this version to Kontakt 6

SNPID Locator, that is the best tool. If nothing happens when you try to use the Show relevant files do this: Open Firefox or Google Chrome and leave it open. Now run the SNPID locator again. You can use Notepad. Also you can find another SNIPD ( one not being used) and change it in the NICNT.

Did you try the locate option? It gives you a list.

Everything I try with SNPID Locator that is supposed to give me a list as xml or html doesn´t give me anything, even with opened browser... weird! Of course I use Admin rights.

But your hint with Notepad++ helped me a lot and I was able to fix my problem! Thanks a lot for your help!

To everyone with the same issues: see this thread for more information, it gives detailed step by step instructions:
How to View all your <SNPID> Cod
