hi, i have installed on my windows7 pc cubase 5.1 r2r. now i have buyed an yamaha modx7 and i received a code for cubase ai.

now,i want install the new cubase, and i suppose have to install the e-licenser. is it possible? or e-licenser
have problem with cubase 5?

when i try to download cubase ai from steinberg site, i have: Security Error #2FG0..and can't download it.
any help?

If you´re doing fine with 5.1 better forget about AI and go try your new Yamaha with the old one. It´s my humble opinion. Cheers.

 

nice. have you tried studio one ?

 

any particular order installing daws, do you start with cubase5, or ableton, studio4 before that? does it matter?

 

and cubase 5 was A.i.R not R2R

 

I don't know for sure, but it's very likely the legit and non-legit are going to fight badly between them.
[Edited: I was wrong mistaking AIR crack with the H2O one with an older Cubase, @The Pirate is right and there should be no problems]

As long as they don't share the same anti piracy protection I guess it doesn't matter.

5.1 work great, but i'm curious about ai10..just curiosity to try the new interface.

To answer your question. You are NOT going to have ANY issues if you have the AIR Cubase 5.1 and any legit version of Cubase 10. None.
With that said, and you are skeptical about what I just told you, let me know and I will send you a video of both running side by side, installed in the same Windows 7 computer.

 

I just realized it. I said there'd be problems before because I was thinking in H2O's crack of an older Cubase, which implied a dongle emulator.
Man, time sure flies...

 

and seriously, no point in staying on 5 even if you will have some limitations in your AI. You will be suprized how big the improvments are in 10 vs 5..
