Let's see which one can be the easiest one. For me, Studio One is the easiest one so far, and I am curious about others' exp and opinion.

In order to get a meaningful answer you'd need to restrict the polling sample to people who have tried all the different DAWs in your list, in order for them to know which is the most intuitive, easy to use and has the lowest learning curve.

 

oh know not again how many more times we have to have this, THEY ARE ALL JUST TOOLS, Different strokes for different folks, you only get out what you the user puts in, none are gonna make you a hit record if you cant produce, so forget about which is best and make your choice and learn it inside out, simple as that

 

I've tried TOO many DAWs: Pro Tools, Reaper, FL, and Ableton but I don't regret it because I have finally settled with Studio One 4 Pro! For me, it quickly became second nature

 

yeah no doubt studio one is the most comprehensive

 

Mixcraft and Studio One, for sure!

 

I have tried Cubase, Pro Tools, Samplitude and Studio One. For me Studio One is by far the easiest to use and offers everything I ever wanted to have in a DAW.

 

for me it's always been Cakewalk Sonar actually,
but as I moved to Reaper (and Mac), I wouldn't go back, the learning curve is rather unbalanced but result feature set is totally worth it!
Studio One (4) looks interesting, but rather restricted for my needs

 

One shouldn't talk about forum members in those terms, IMHO.

 

I've been using S1 for a while therefore I can't be neutral.

Nonetheless I would be happy to hear someone who used both Ableton and S1.

EDIT : How come that nobody voted for Cubase? Von Steyr, we need you to vote here!

 

Cubase is by far the easiest. Cubase sets up you controller and audio interface for you whereas S1 you have to mess about going through a wizard, not difficult but it doesn't work straight out of the box like Cubase. Also CB has the easiest midi editing and overall very intuitive to use. Ableton is excellent but confusing interface for beginners.

 

@Niruvana This is totally subjective. The one with the easiest learning curve is the one that you have learnt the most and feel comfortable with. A learning curve that proves difficult for you could be easier for me and vice-versa. For example, the one I find easier to use is Renoise which many people find intimidating and don't even bother to try. Yet if you ask Renoise users we will swear it is the easiest to use. Purely subjective.

I have used on a daily basis, throughout the years:
- Pro 24, Creator, Notaror, Cubase (Atari ST)
- Logic, Studio One (macOS)
- Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, CoolEdit Pro, Audition, Studio One (Windows)

...and I have tried (for a few days) about 10+ others.

In my must-try list I have Cubase 10, Pro Tools (latest) and a few more. But, up to now, all in all, Studio One is the easiest.

 

I find ableton live and bitwig the easiest ones.

 

For me the easiest was Reason, because of its logical design. But I exclusively use Reaper now. And no, Reaper has not a low learning curve, but after all, it suites the best for me.

 

Samplitude, I don't know other Daws

 

I actually purchased Studio One. Never used it and still doing everything out of FL Studio 11.

 

I cant even figure out how to create a midi clip in cubase. And if you want to empty out slots of any sort lets say a insert you have to go to that menu and select no vst. Instead of a simple right click remove or just the delete button.. there are many instances of ridiculousness in cubase that i cant stand beside.

 

Is this the Studio One forum?
