A couple months ago I posted my build for my keyless Microkorg. Since then I've been working on designing my modular case.

At my day job I get to play with CNC lasers and panel benders and my boss loves me (very important lol).
All the parts were cut from essentially left overs that would have been scrapped.

I designed, rails, ears, blank panels, cable holders, and adapter brackets, all from 16 gauge CRS (1.5mm)

All parts were also powder coated at work.

Probably the hardest part was the rails. I spec'd them for 4-40 threads instead of the standard 3mm used in Eurorack because thats what I had on hand for free. 4-40 roughly works out to 2.75mm. I then had to spend several hours tapping over 1600 holes with a drill.

In the back I ran stainless steel rods to support the flying buss cables.
Theres also 1/8" steel plates to serve as counter weights. 30lb of counter weights in total.

I decided to add an Intellijel 1U tile row because they have this interesting system with a main module and then an external jacks module. So I made an adapter for the jacks module so that I can have rear mounted IO.

Made a little control panel for the light and fans but it turns out the power supply doesnt run as hots as I thought so no fans needed yet.

Each tier will have its own power module so it can be separated or rearranged if need be.
These hasps latches hold them together.

Stores are charging $70 for cable holders like this. Rip off, I'll cut my own.

All the machines at work have a machine tag, so I 3D printed one for this baby.

All in all I probably saved my $1000 - 1500 on a case. More money for modules to fill it with.

Theres two on sweet water that kind of compare
theres this one for 1800 though its still 150HP smaller than mine
    https://www.sweetwater.com/store/de...2-portable-eurorack-chassis-with-power-supply

And two of these for 1300 each to make a case the same size size mine:

For both deduct $600 since they're powered but I had to buy power modules.

Then blank panels are around $10 each, I have over 30, another $300 in savings there.
And $150 for two cable holders.
