Hello Audiosexers ! ,

I created & edited this short film for all members of this community to practice their film score skills !

I call it "The Silent House" & you can download it for free here :

Here is an example that i created,enjoy ! (Parallel Universe Edition) :

Rules :

1.An important one : Have Fun !

2.After you download & create your own project,please upload it here on this thread so we can all hear & see your unique composition

3.If you're not a film composer & don't do cinematic scores,please do not hesitate,your music can be anything,for example you can embed your ambient,electronic,acoustic & electric music too ...which leads to rule #4,,, :

4.Use your creativity & imagination,be inspired

5.A bit different from rule #1 : Have lots & lots & lots of Fun !

This is remarkable. I'll try to score it :D

 

I liked your idea @Spyfxmk2 That's a good challenge. This one is also a nice video but it looks like just an intro rather than a film. If you're thinking for a second round, I suggest you to use a scene from Cast Away movie. Because Alan Silvestri didn't compose a music for that.

* In the zippyshare link there is the free short film / clip,raw .mov file.

Some tips :

If you're using Ableton Live, you simply drag & drop the .mov file or the mp4 on an audio track in your Arrangement view window in Live

In Logic Pro X or Cubase i think it is pretty simple to open a video file & do your music score for it

* a tempo that works/syncs well with the clip is 110 bpm (but experiment with other tempos too)

* btw feel free to name/title your project anything you want (other than 'Silent House")

Am currently too caught up in worldly matters and therefore will have to skip it for now... But hope to come back .to it hopefully sometime soon!

Didn't actually take multiple days to compose but multiple trips to the DMV and figuring out some vid rendoring issues did...

Edit, oops just noticed a hiss, was from the downsampling.. not in the original.
