why would you need a website when you have soundcloud, bandcamp and other free self distribution platforms. Even youtube does the job pretty well.

If you do want a website however, you can build your own using wix. It’s easy, comes with really nice templates and you also have control over everything. If you just take some time to learn it you can save money...

I doubt at this stage you need a branding and marketing team to do anything...

If you have lots of content and you can really write something on your website, yes you should have one. Otherwise, it's not necessary. To only show your showcase? Social streams are better for this. You eventually use them even if you have your own host.

If you can fill that website with other stuff than your music, that makes you look professional and it's nice to tell people about your webpage. I mean, band photos, biography, gigs, concert times etc.
