For the last few months Uploaded.net speeds for premium members have become nothing short of pathetic. A while back I was trying to grab a file that was less than a gig and the approximate download time was something like 8 hours. I was downloading a 6 meg file today and it listed the approximate time as 8 minutes. 6 megs should take much less than a minute to download. What the hell is going on here? You would think with all the new users signing up that they would have the funds to actually upgrade their servers, imagine that. I understand that the average user doesn't consume as much bandwidth but damn this is really the experience of a free user on many other file lockers. Maybe they should include the actual time downloads take when they are displaying their little free and premium comparison to prospective users. It's really annoying and it's just going to get worse as more people sign up.

I haven't experienced any problems with download speeds from UL. I don't have the worlds fastest connection though, but I can easily max out my bandwidth leeching from UL.

I started having this problem about a week or two ago, but I have a pretty decent connection which leads me to think that it's something on their side. When I see this happening, I simply cancel the original download and re-download the same file and it works like a charm.

I know that there are times during the day when speeds are more palatable. Maybe you guys live in a part of the world where the physical distance is closer and you're in a download window when there is less traffic. There is definitely some issues over here and it can't be my provider because I run speed tests all the time and have a reasonable connection rating. This is a recent development for me that I really started noticing a few months ago. Thanks for all your replies.

Your country, internet provider and traffic in your server might have a lot to do with it!

either your isp has throttled you down, someone is sniffing your packets, you use a proxy...
OR the ultimate reason is your local data transfer distribution node is antiquated
meaning, the node that your modem connects to is faulty

another reason for slow throughput- one of your neighbors is running torrents and
sucking all the bandwidth from the node

there are trick scripts you can send to the node, within a url file request,
which makes the node think you are a relay forwarding server on the network,
thus giving a single user connection predominance of the nodes' ability

no this is not jibberish and i am not crazy - i know this for fact...
i used to do it - till i got caught

other than that i prefer torrents but-
for host links, UL for me i get around 70 kb for free and 200 premium

Not gibberish at all. I have programmed for many years and worked in networking and database administration. I think it's an Uploaded.net issue because at certain times I can max out my connection but at peak times that shit blows. Thanks for your response man.

70 free regged :) no need for a premium account.

to bad different browser trick isnt working anymore. :(
in jdownloader with free account 70kb/s download and in the browser with non regged account 50kb/s.
now is uploaded a pain - but still better as rapidgator, which easily cancles free downloads.
