This is not a new idea really, just a new application. I have found some google gadgets that allow easy insertion of mp3 links into a streaming player. No not new. But I then setup a template with multiple players on the same page, so all who have access can insert their mixes. Having the players all on the same page makes it extremely easy to compare mixes. Stop one player and jump to the other and hear the differences immediately! Has worked very well in development and making decisions on which mix to use as final.

This template works well, and google has everything right there. I just had to research it and now it's there as a final mix/master tool for remote group comparrison and discussion. Template has comments at the bottom and email notification. Works well and we have been inserting mp3s from dropbox, so free on top of it.

As a matter of fact if a bunch of people have them we can listen to and comment in each other's listening rooms. This template is an eye opener when comparing mixes. Anyone with a google account can do this.

That sounds like a great idea! I thought of an idea like this in the past but i dismissed it as kinda dumb, but now, i think that it's actually a great idea!

It's not really a new idea, except that it makes use of these tools Google has available. The thing that makes it so good is the ability for anyone with access to post a mix and comment. Immediate comparrison.

 

Nothing is really a new idea however it is creative to make use of available tools to make something better, programming being a perfect example. Just because I didn't write the programming language doesn't mean I can't make something incredibly useful with it. I applaud your ingenuity.
