I have a question about windows 10. Can you help me?
There are a number of ways of getting user data from one Windows machine to another, or a refreshed machine. What are people doing? How is it working out for Windows 10?

I wrote about a way in another topic so I just copy my text into this one.

There's a nice tool from german developers from Heise.de, an IT & Tech magazine.

It's called c’t-WIMage and it lets you create an installation image from your current running OS.
That means you also could install Windows 10 into a virtual machine, add & set language packs,
configure Windows as you want, uninstall unneccessary apps, install your DAW & plugins,
disable Edge, MS Shop, etc... and then you create the image using WIMage and you get
an installation image that installs your OS exactly as you set it - no matter on what PC
    you install it.

That way you can backup your complete OS into an installation disc and for example
duplicate/install it on a new PC or reinstall it when you got a virus without setting everything again.

But keep in mind: the more you install, the bigger it gets as it also will add all your videos, photos etc.

For me thats the best solution for backing up and porting an OS and it's as easy as installing a new OS
    on a new machine
