Hi. I have just tried to install Maschine v2.8.2 in PC Windows. But it is update only and I get warning that it needs full installation or so. How to get it? I tried to install older versions but all need full installation as well. Any clues, please?

 

I have changed the title of this thread into general question about NI installation. I keep asking about installing Maschine 2 v2.8.2 update that requires installed full version. What I read on sister site many people have issues with installing any version of Maschine and libraries. It refers, of course, other NI products, eg Massive. Releases have got different keygens with different options in drop down menus. Some release have got NI_InstReg...exe some haven’t got. At the moment I really confused with Maschine 2 v2.8.2 how to install. Any help with and lightening this matter. Thanks.

 

What does NI_InstReg...exe do? I know that this emulates previous installation but I use it will I have a full version or only new features of the update? If I installed Native Access as some suggest, won’t it destroy my other previous NI R2R installations?

 

With the NI reg you don't need previous install, just lunch the NI Reg and install software, as say in the NFO bro'

 

I have found NI Reg in another release. F### knows who released v2.8.2 and why without Ni Reg. Thanks

Yes, I found it there. It was released on the 5th of Apr. The last release including NI Reg was v2.6.5. Now I know that if the release is titled “...Incl Patched and Keygen...” there is NI Reg inside.

Yeah that 2.82 is just an update installer.Thankfully we all have that reg sitting around from older versions.

They should just put it in every release from now on.I've seen a lot of maschine users have that same issue with previous updates.

But should work like a charm after the reg fix.Not sure what was changed in 81 vs 82? I didn't read the changelog.But I think only notable change is sounds.com integration since 2.8.

Been deep in Maschineland for last month about,helping a friend get his mk3 setup.So much installing and configuring,but its so worth it after.Made music for 6 hrs straight,only time I touched the mouse was to open the maschine software.

And now. Any suggestions for installing more confusing than Maschine, Kontakt 6 . There some releseas portable, simlinks etc. Are they good?

 

Of course, all recent Maschine updates need previous installed full factory library... Where the F### should I found it?

 

Sorry for the late response,just got back.Well.I mainly poked for Ni stuff first on the sister site and couple torrent sites.

Latest Kontakt 6.04 portable is nice.Couple others like the previous 6 portable I've had small issues with.And Im running latest Reaktor,Fm8,Massive,and the rest of the Ni stuff basically, all of Komplete,and it all runs lovely,I also have every maschine expansion and the factory library and the 1.31 update.

Now far as other plugins.it runs the Arturia v collection very nice and Dune 3,all the new Shreddages,Amadeus,the new waves bundle,and tons of kontakt libs,I know I'm forgetting a few but,I pretty much looked up almost every vst plugin and kontakt library etc that has NKS support and got as many of them as i could find and installed them.

Hi. Thank you for very informative post. I have found the factory library v1.3.1 released few years ago. This is the latest I could find. It started installing properly but I need more space on my hdd. You mentioned extensions. They extend the factory library as I presume, aren’t they?

 

I'm not sure on that but i know the original factory library was 1.00.The updates came few months after
