I don't understand bashing Roland. for my ears it is way ahead of almost all other analog emulation available in the market. SH-101, Juno-106, Jupiter-8 are just pure gems that sound rich and beautiful. The other good analog and digital emulations are made by Korg (ARP Odyssey, M1, Wavestation). Arturia is great, when it comes to usability but the sound is not always "there".

I will try these days Roland's stuff to check again, but I think modules in Diva are better as an emulation. You don't need a special vst to make typical funky Roland sounds, most generic vsts can do it, so whatever.
The most analogue sounding stuff that I've heard is - Repro, Polykb, The legend, Cypher2.
But who knows, maybe my ears are defect (my favourite machine is JD-800:rofl:)

i have a real Jupiter 8 and i tell you Roland is far closer then Arturia, but that doesn't mean i dislike Arturia, i like things to be different, so we have more diversity , if you want the real thing, buy the real thing. i see so many always crying, "its not the same as the real " while they never came even close to a real vintage synth

I had all the Arturia stuff installed in the past few years. In my current setup I avoided installing until I'd gotten most other stuff installed, due to the length of time it takes to scan them in FL Studio. I used to move them out of scanned VST folders whenever i rescanned installed plugins.
In the meantime I've found myself learning others synths a little and finding less attraction to the old familiar knobs and sliders that I suppose were the main reason I liked them. Same is true with Roland's own stuff.
What used to be my guide in playing with sounds now seems ... a little kludgy or something.

Again, Im not sure I agree that 200€ is TOO MUCH for the upgrade. I think some people get confused with a software upgrade and a bundle upgrade. Yes a software upgrade for 200€ would be way too much (even for a version update of 20 instruments). But a bundle update is different, in my opinion. Forget all the updates and 000s presets. You are buying 3 NEW Instruments for less than 69€ each.
less than 69€ for a Mellotron
less than 69€ for a Synthi, etc
etc. and they integrate with both Analog Lab 4 and my Keylab 2 too.
seems like a bargain to me :)
But each to their own opinion.

It took approx 15 minutes to update all synths except Modular V3 which took over 1.5 hours. I think there was a server problem yesterday.

No different today. Still running at 14kbps. I've tried disabling SIP on my Mac and allowing full access in Privacy settings. Tried bypassing the Arturia Software app and using jdownloader get the updates from the website, but stalls every time, every instrument.
No wonder some people use cracked stuff when you can't even get access to your purchases. Not me of course. I don't want to go to hell. Or a Taylor Swift concert.

Arturia official Facebook post has replied several times to customers saying their servers are saturated.... Pretty pathetic they don’t have the bandwidth while making customers pay premium prices.

I'm having the biggest LOL right now by reading the comments on Arturia's FB page: Basically, their "loyal" customers are feeling screwed by the price of the upgrade from v6 to v7, and rightfully so.

And after that, everyone is wondering why piracy exist: In this specific case, not only does it exist, it's entirely justified IMHO.

According to their FB page, it's 199, not 99.

$199 for 3 synths = $66 per synth (plus new versions of B-3 and Analog Lab and 800 new presets - which you can consider as a nice gift since other companies may charge you $20 for a pack of 60 presets) may seems exaggerate only in regard of the introducing price of the entire collection: $299 for 23 synths = $13 per synth (which is ridiculously low), but if the full bundle would cost a normal price of $1518 ($66 x 23), then no one would argue.
I'm not an Arturia fan at all, but I must admit their price policy is very fair.
Anyway, commenting on the price subject will not change anything, I'm afraid.
