cubase 5 is reliable, opens quick and inspires the hell out of me

 

if you mean team air's cubase - yes I have had my thoughts - but bigger problem than 32bit is no asio guard which makes all the difference. Studio one 4 I am again testing - probably only to again find cubase 8 is much better working with low latencies, but this time I will do it more scientifically and measure the roundtrip of similar performance settings physically, because you cannot believe what the daw is showing and the differences are too small to be sure of them subjectively while playing.

Hey xbitz, this direct automation thingy is very interesting, i didn't know, have to try it out ! ( using S1 v 4.1.4 - mac and Reason v10).

 

Studio One 4 here all the time. 64bits, very stable, drag and drop, easy stems exports, good and completely MIDI implementation, etc.

 

I concur.

Used Cubase from VST24 3.7 until Cubase 6 then left it for Studio One around 2012 and ain't looked back. Both have their pros and cons, but overall Studio One is incredibly intuitive.
