I just started to read all content in here, superinteresting. Just quick thoughts:
The music of a generation reflects its mindstate in a way, and as we are kind of focused mostly on technology, at least in western society, its not accidentally our music gets that artificial. And its not necessarily a problem. I followed the path of electronic music since I’m a little kid, and its allways been those tunes with a highly emotional content, creativity & imaginative powers that affected me the most & shaped my listening habits. Its a question of what the musician is capable of to transport emotionally , if its a guitar, human voice, mpc 60, moog, daw-based stuff. Its all about emotional content, AI is all about IQ, not EQ (Emotional Intelligence).
And as our western civilization has a big emotional deficit, its natural people think about machines making music.

Exactly. Which is why I'm not a great believer in 'intelligence'.
And which is why I feel Classical Logic, or maybe Philosophical Logic, should be taught in Secondary Schools.

I've now learnt about the different ways that an AI can learn.
And I love women who are well-learned and can communicate proficiently.
Such a turn on! That Schneider was kind of hot.

 

Another quick thought, if there‘s something to worry about:
A possible threat may not directly be AI , maybe the threat is how our social/cultural/political behavior may change due to AI & Technology itself. Look what the smartphone (which i use to write this) does to our every day life, allways keep pros & cons in mind, be aware of the cons, just sayin

Very important transferring thought, kind of buddhistic indeed. Go beyond fear & take responsibility for your actions, encourage others, present a good example.
If something like a multiverse exist, i allways choose the one reality with maximum of peace of mind for everyone & minimized fear & stressors, anything else would be pretty unwise.
But unconsciousness is a thing, more or less every1 is affected by this, humankinds main goals should include raising the global conscienceness level to new heights

Controlling peoples minds works best with divide & conquer strategy. It may be not a conscious act of leaders (more economic than political) to do so, maybe they are so deep in fear to loose power & money, they pass on this mindstate in large scales. Out of the untrust & fear of the ‚others‘ (which is such a concept, you could instead search & find the smallest common denominator in ‚the other‘ and start there) we may tend to think we live in chaos & we have to bring order into everything. Maybe we just dont understand the universal order how things be ligned up.
But to get to the point, this wish to control things is the perfect breeding ground for constructing artificial intelligence, like if i cant control my partner/neighbour/consumer...to act like i want to, i just buy me a robot to at least control him, a psychlogical reflex maybe. But its paradox, due to such a behaviour we start to bring problems to life we originally fear the most.
The cure for this mess may be to let loose, have trust in ones self & in others, in compassion, trust in peace & love, not fear & hate, rise consciously, take responsibility.

Damn, i got kids , so i don’t have the luxury to let myself go to such a dark vision, if its possible or not.

 

Dinosaurs also "had kids", right... They are nowhere to be found today (if we exclude the various bird species that are their distant relatives).
Natural disasters happen all the time (if we stop using our short life spans as a metric), it's a miracle that events like super volcanoes, meteors, ice ages etc spared our current civilization.
It's ironic that current situation is our own creation.
It's up to greedy corporations and governments to stop destroying our planet so rapidly, so we have any chances to develop reasonable sustainable society. I don't think that this will happen - people with any real power are corrupted, have big (false) egos and are ignorant as fuck, so enjoy life while you still can...

Believe me, if u got seeds the possible future problems are pretty personal for you. You cant have responsibility for little ones & at the same time a mindset like devil-may-care, impossible , at least for me. Plus our worldview is allways ‚colored‘ by our life perspective, which may change severall times in life. So things mustn‘t be that worse as some guys want you to think it is , just to verify their concepts. But it is a crucial point in evolution, at least for earths actual habitat.
